Sick coworkers, remix contests, and more!Posted at 3:47 PM on Oct. 2, 2007
Well yesterday was certainly interesting. That morning I got a call from my supervisor saying one of the workers had called in sick and they needed me to come in and help out. That was fine with me, I mean, I get more hours and more $$$$!! Heh. Things got very interesting that afternoon though. Apparently there was another schedule mixup and one of the girls thought she wasn't coming in that day (that's the way it was on her schedule copy). SO, the afternoon supervisor Amanda was going nuts trying to find SOMEONE to come help out. Thankfully the afternoons are fairly slow, and we did finally get someone to come in and help out. I have now discovered that the afternoon shift at my work is with the nuttiest group of people ever! Not in a bad way though, heh. Ah, good times, good time....

In other news, I've launched a remix competition over at a site called 1am-mediaforums.com. I've provided some material, and now hopefully I'll have some good remixes to choose from for my upcoming album. The contest ends in early November, so expect to be able to get it (the album) in about December, if you feel like owning some of muh music. Oh, and one more thing--check out some of the new stuff I've added to my profile playlist. The bottom few are from a really sweet downloadable album from OCRemix.org. That site is dedicated to remixing video game music, and this album remixes the entire Final Fantasy VII soundtrack. Even if you haven't played the game (I haven't), you're sure to love this album. It's got jazz, classical, trance, breakbeat, cinematic, rock, metal, and more! Totally clean too as far as any lyrics go, since most of the songs don't even HAVE lyrics. Yeah! Boy would I been in bad shape if THAT happened! But luckily my X-ray showed that my nerve was very close to the wisdom teeth that were getting pulled out.

Hey, BTW, one reason I like your techno music is because they're all instrumental, I don't usualy listen to stuff with lyrics, I think it messes-up the song (most of the time). ~Curufinwe P.S. and yes, I would love it if you showed me how to fit my playlist in the sidebar! I am thoroughly lost when it comes to HTML and stuff like that...I consider myself lucky that I even managed to stick it at the bottom of the page instead of, like, near the title or something! (and er, might you happen to know how to change the typewriter picture and title RandomlyRetro to a long banner-type thing with the title of my blog on it? If I made one, could I upload it?) And I understand being cynical about politics...although usually, instead of getting cynical, I just get angry and stomp around criticizing all my friends' favored political parties really Loudly. This leads to gigantic debates about socialism vs. libertarianism and often said debates end badly. wow a remix comp? that sounds wicked awesome. yep as soon as i go off to school i'm getting high speed and i'll be able to listen to ur stuff all the time! (woo woo)

I know what you mean about work! A couple of weeks ago I spent the night with my friends and my mom called me early that morning and was like "Your boss called and you were supposed to work this morning!" I was like ops. But I had got my dates all messed up sooooooo yeah... Where do you work? TTYL! <3
