A Beautiful Autumn Day

I know, I know it isn't officially autumn yet, but it sure does feel like it! It is sunny, cool, and breezy here in my little neck of the woods. I LOVE this weather!

I went out and picked hundreds of tomatoes in my garden today. The weather forecast is for a strong frost tonight. There are still hundreds more tomatoes out there so I hope the forecast is wrong!! I would pick them all but the problem of where to put them is a real concern and how many tomatoes can one gal can anyway?

I am hoping to cover at least a few of the plants tonight.

I love harvesting produce from my wee little garden. My garden really is small but I receive so much from it; green beans, lettuce, cucumbers, oodles of tomatoes, and lots of good exercise in the fresh air! I'll miss it when it is all tucked away for the wintertime. It has been almost like a good friend this summer.

I love to pray while in the garden. Somehow when I am outside alone, I feel I must talk to the Lord. I never feel lonely. It is such a blessed time! What a privilege to be able to talk to my Savior!
