“Why do women want to dress like men when they’re fortunate enough to be women? Why lose femininity, which is one of our greatest charms? We get more accomplished by being charming than we would be flaunting around in pants and smoking. I’m very fond of men. I think they are wonderful creatures. I love them dearly. But I don’t want to look like one. When women gave up their long skirts, they made a grave error…" Tasha Tudor
~ I love this quote. It makes me thoughtful.
I love the fact that Tasha wore long dresses--many of them vintage-- everyday. She wore long dresses milking her goats, working in the garden, cleaning house, etc. Just like our great, great grandmothers did. She wore them until the time of her death in June 2008 at the age of 92.
The years have slipped bye so quickly. It seems as though it was just yesterday we were starting out homeschooling with a six year old and a 3 year old. Now my sons are 21 and 18 and this is my last year of homeschooling. A new season in life is ahead ~ the best is yet to come.
