I Work From Son Up To Son Down

The Art Of Snow Living

I dont think we will be hanging our clothes out on the line for a few more months.

The snow is piled up to my thigh outside. We have made a very narrow, but sufficient walk way to the door.

The icicles are 3-4 feet in length. Very pretty, but not so YUMMY!

Everyone was hesitant to roll out of bed this morning. The temperature outside is in the negatives, and the snow is stacked high. Although we havent had any new snow for a couple of weeks now, the temperatures aren't allowing the remaining white puff to dissolve.

Thankfully the sun is out each day, which gives us hope that warmer days are to come, if we can just be patient. However, the ground is so slick that carrying the baby out to the carseat is like a trapeze act of me balancing him the entire way. I can't even tell you how many times I have clung to the door of my suburban as my feet had slipped out from under me. You use muscles that God knew we would need in just such occasions. I have fell on my bum more times than I care to admit to, and not all of them have been in proper attire. Yes, I should wear hefty spiked boots for every endeavor outdoors, but once I climb down off my mountain, and join in with the rest of the population I would look ridiculous. So I suffer my body for fashion sake. After all I am STILL a city girl at heart......lol.

Jan. 12, 2007 - Snow! Snow!

Wow the snow is crazy!! What a workout, that is the type of exercise that is sure to keep any girl skinny. You should start a new type of gym and charge the locals if they want to see some serious results. The thought of you clinging to your suburban seriously makes me giggle...And as for the shoes, well I say fashion comes first even in our tiny town....From,

like that. It would give me no reason to go out of my warm and cozy home.

You always make me smile Trina. I enjoyed getting caught up on your entries. I thought your other template just didn't work on my computer. Hope your new one is up soon.

Wishing you a great and blessed weekend,
Linda

Oh, I envy you that snow! We're supposed to get hit with a huge Artic front tomorrow, but no snow. The most we'll get will be freezing ice. Enjoy it for me...please!

About Me

Ohhh...what 5 boys can get you into! Join me on my daily journey with my beloved sons, and on being the Godly wife and mother that I am trying to be! I was married at 17 to my first true love when he was 18. I know it sounds crazy, but we had both of our parents blessings. I had my first son at 18, well almost 19. I am 35, and will be married a whopping 18 years in June. I was homeschooled as a teenager in the 1980's, and I homeschool my boys as well. We live on 20 acres, and we allow the boys to roam and just be boys! Life is good and we are HAPPY!
