My husband gave us a nice surprise and came home Friday on his way to a delivery, so it doesn't count against his regular "home time." :) He thought it would be nice to take the munchkins to go see Superman. It was pretty good. They did a good job at making him look like Christopher Reeves.
During a scene where Lex Luther and his minions are trying to beat up Superman, Sean started crying. He did NOT like the thought of Superman getting hurt. My husband was holding the little guy and trying to convince him that Superman would be okay. Sean did not want to listen! Eventually, Sean fell asleep on Shannon's lap. He woke up at the end of the movie to see that Superman was okay.
It was a nice little outing. Celia was "ehh" about going. She isn't into the superhero thing like the boys are. I asked the kids later if they recognized the actors that played Lois Lane and Richard from other movies. (No.) Lois Lane was played by the same actress that played the mother on SpyKids and the actor who played Richard was the same one that was Cyclopse from X-Men. This, of course, made Matt want to watch X-Men the second we got home. It didn't happen as it was late, but the first thing in the morning he tried again. The poor kid had to wait to Sunday afternoon. heehee!
We had a nice day and a half with Shannon before he had to leave at midnight Saturday. :) |
