Aug. 14, 2009 - A day at Dollywood
Hey guys!
Has anypne ever been to Dollywood? If you have please post me a comment to say what was your favorite ride.
I haven't been on all the rides yet so I don't know but so far my favorite is Mystery Mine. It's mostly dark and you can't see what's coming and it goes strait up and strait down and upside down and EVERY POSSIBLE AWESOME DIRECTION!!!!!!!! It is the most awesome ride I have ever been on! But I am gettin' ahead o' meself.
Thursday: We left home at approx. 3:30 pm arriving at our campground in Tennesse about 8:30pm. It wasn't that bad. We got here and bedded down.
Friday: We got up about 7:00 am [I think] and went to Gatlinburg. It's a quaint little town with lotsa shops and nice little places to eat. First thing [and most important] we stopped to eat! =) [Oh man! That face looks adorable in this font! =) =) =)] After I had an enormous meal of eggs, hash browns, gravy, bisquits and sausage, of which I had to eat all because we couln't take it with us and a Yavanenski NEVER wastes food! =) [ah me darlin' face! ~<[=) heehee he's got a fooney hat! Why is it a he?] Anyway... after that we went to more shops than I care to mention! One of which included the "Celtic Heritage Shop" I have three words to describe it. AWESOME EXPENSIVE AND TOTALLY KNARLY! Okay so that's four.... BUT WE'RE ALL HOMESCHOOLERS!!! lol Okay.... that was really weird.... ***For all those who don't know what knarly is, I think it's something my sister made up.. but if you know what it is then my sister didn't make it up.*** OKay so after we went to all those shops and all we went to our camper again and rested for a while. Then we took off for Dollywood because we found out that if you go after 3 and buy a ticket, you can use that ticket all the rest of that day and all the next day too! It's totally awesome. So we are going again tomorrow. Anyway... today we rode a boring widdle water ride that was really short and not worth the wait. Then we went to a big water that was awesome and totally worth the wait! It was really fast and you felt like you would tip over and you were flying at an increadable speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so cool. We went down that one twice. Then we went on a train ride. Don't tell me mather but that was toally not worth the wait either! I did NOT like that! We just rode up and rode down. The conducter was funny but.. not worth those horribly uncomfortable seats! Then came the fun part!!!!!! THe rollercoasters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *lawfs rollercoaters* The first one we went to was Mytery Mine. As I said before IT WAS THE BEST RIDE IN THE PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!! It starts out in complete darkness..... Then.... YOU DROP!!!!!!!!! 'Down down the rush the speed'!!!!!! [That was a Narnia quote to all those who are not familiar with the awesome series] I wanted to ride that one again but as usual the youngest was outruled by the magority of older fuddy-duddies! They liked Thunderhead... That was okay but for some reason ***DUCK TAPE FIXES EVERYTHING*** It FREAKED ME OUT!!!!!! I think it was because it didn't have the things that come down over my shoulders and I could see the track! In the Mine it was dark and I couldn't see what I was riding on which scared Poe and Arabella but I really liked it!!!!! They liked seeing where they were. Anyway! They we came back to home sweet camper and we are planning to watch "The Abduction Club" on YouTube tonight! FUNTIMES!!!!!!
Saturday: Dad is taking us back to Dollywood where we will ride all the rides that we didn't ge to today and I will ride the Mine A MILLION TIMES!!!! lol No... Dad made me promise I'd only do it two more times because it's not good for me..... I can deal with that.
Sunday: *Begins to sing* HOME! OH TAKE ME HOME!! HOME TO THE PEOPLE I LEFT BEHIND! HOME TO THE LOVE I KNOW I'LL FIND! OHO TAKE ME-E HOME!!!!!!!!!!

*shrieks* ROLLER COASTERS!!!! I like SOME kinds av roller coasters; the first time I went on one was at Expedition Everest at Disney World. A went on a couple others too, but EE is THE BEST! Anyhoo, how are ya? I miss you!!! *hugs*

I'm not sure if/when we're going to Arlington... But, if there's a homeschool conference there, there's a good chance there will be a Homeschool Channel booth. I may not be there personally though...
