Hello to me faithful readerS! How be ye all?
Well.. I'm trying to think of some stuff that I have done since my last post. Besides school. Lately I have been doing NOTHING but school... so... there's nothing to post about really! lol
We did go to Montpelier recently. That's the home of James Madison the 4th president of the United States. It's about 3 hours from where I live. Wanna know an interesting little tidbit? It takes just about that long to read the Constitution of the United States all the way through including all 25 amendments. Liars.. They say it would take approximately 23 minutes. HA! They never heard the Yavanenskis do it! *gasps because at the computer for saying 'Yavanenski' is spelled wrong* So anyway, my mom made me read the whole thing OUT LOUD and made me stop after every paragraph so that she could explain what it meant. After she explained it I still didn't understand it. So after I had finished that we were there. We got to go throught a tour of his house [which for the size of his house on the outside, has VERY small rooms that would NOT do for dancing as they said they were used for. Did that make any sense to anyone besides me who know what I was saying?! =^D] Just a little FYI, James Madison has a stinking taste in art. [You'll know what I mean if you've ever been there and seen some of his pictures] Anyway, so we went through his house and then there was a ceremony where we got to hear the marine band and Lynne Cheny speak. It was pretty cool. After that, we went to see where James and Dolly Madison were burried. Graveyards are NOT spooky! They are inspriational and that's the truth! For me anyway... but don't go by me... I broke a shoelace this morning... haha not really but I'll take any chance I can get to quote Riley! *lawfs Riles* Anyway... well mom decides she wants to go to the slave graveyard... okay... no prob mom.... wellllll so it did turn out to be a problem.... My mother has this thing.. she HAS to follow whoever is in frount of her. I don't know why but I CERTAINLY didn't inherit that! I HATE following people and I would MUCH rather make my own path. =) WAHOO! Anyhoo... Mom follow this family that was infrount of us into the woods... I would have LOVED a treck in the woods....except it didn't go anywhere. As it happened... the 'trail' that we were following dead-ended [haha that's not a word is it?] And there was no trail. Well.. instead of standing there like everyone else was doing, I started making my own trail [which was absoluetly GLORIOUS!!!] Yuck... my feet stink... [completely unrelated] so we finally got out of the woods....on the OTHER side of the house from where we wanted to be. Not to meation it was raining... Fun fun! So we got out and got n the car [finally!] *sings along with her music that is playing "EILEEN ALLANAH!!!! EILEEN ASTHORE!!! LIGHT OF MY SOUL!!!!"
As it turns out, that was not the end of our adventures. On the way home, mo looked at the gage and found the van overheated.... Oh! But I skiped something! We took a wrong turn on the way out of Montpelier [which BTW I think means 'Mount Pleasent'. Correct me if I am mistaken.] and went out the east gate instead of the west gate like we were supossed to. I was having SO much fun because, to me, getting lost is one of the stress reliefs of this world.... Apparently it's not to my mother.... she was about to go into cardiac arrest when I told her that we had gone right when we were supossed to left. [I had to map. MUAHAHAHA POWER! =)] We got to see that nice little town of Orange... I suggested we just go on and see where it came out.... I guess mom didn't really want to go to California... But we did go to Scotland . Haha I thought I'd REALLY gotten us lost when I saw "Glasgow" on the sign! Thankfully it was actually in Virginia. =) Anyway... so I did get us going right... BUT! on the way home, we got stuck in heavy traffic because of a acident or something, and the van overheated. All the water we had in the car was a tiny widdle bottle [BTW those those things are just about the cutest ever!] . That shows you how healthy we are, we have a case of Dr. Pepper in the back of the van but no water! lol FYI, we drank all the water for lunch! :-P =) So we got stuck beside the road for a long time and only one person stopped to see if we needed any help... WE'RE IN TH' SOUTH PEOPLE!!!! =)
Anyway... I'm supoosed to be writing a report on Samuel Slater [awesome name huh? =)] *shhhh * don't tell Mom! lol :-) So I need to go..... I'll be in Williamsburg this weekend. Sooo YUP! TTFN!

Aug. 27, 2009 - A report and a tag frum DeKker [Don't ask me why the first K is capotalized. I wonder myself]
Hey guys! I wrote a report on homeschooling. Why? BECAUSE I FELT LIKE IT!!!! No, I didn't have to but I was bored.... I know... I'm weird.. HEY I'M A HOMESCHOOLER! I CAN'T HELP IT IF I LAWF TO LEARN!!!!
Many times I have been asked "Where do you go to school?" When I simply reply, "I'm homeschooled." Most are excited, ask if I enjoy it and tell me of some experience they have had with homeschoolers.
Some are suspicious and ask questions, wondering if I'm in some sort of cult. Some of the questions include things like, "Do you learn everything you need to?" , "Do you get to socialize?" and even occasionally "Do you have any friends?" and "Will you have enough education to go to college?"
I am here to answer these questions!
As for learning what I need, in my 14 years, I have traveled all over the United States, I have learned how to cool, clean, sew and grow a garden. I have learned to run a farm and a family. I have learned to cope with the death of loved ones and pets. I have learned to comfort those that need it most and listen when no one else will. I have sung in nursing homes and to veterans, in churches and in front of Mount Rushmore. I have learned to get out of my comfort zone and be a friend to those whom I normally wouldn't want to be around. I volunteer with Hospice. I can have a conversation with anyone, no matter their age. I babysit children and help young mothers. I have been able to help people in a way that would not have been possible if I had been enrolled in a public school. In my opinion, learning these things goes far beyond Algebra and Biology. [Isn't that right Mom?] Still, I am learning Math, Science, Debate, Philosophy, Government studies, Literature, History and Anatomy. If I have a question, my motehr, father or one of my siblings is there to answer it. If none of them know the answer, we go together and find it. I can learn whatever I want, whenever I want. Living on a farm, I have endless sorces of visual aids that help me comprehend and enjoy learning at a much greater level than just reading from a textbook. No, I have not learned all that I need to, but who has? I am still learning and I can't wait to see what lies ahead! If, at the end of my schooling, I don't know all that I need to know I won't know that I don't know what I need to know so I won't know that I need to know it!
Socialization. Everyone has different opinions of what this word means. I once met a man that believed socialization meant getting away from your parents and being with others your own age. I have a different view of socialization. As Noah Webster says, sociable means "Free to conversation; conversing much or familiarly" While the youth of today may converse much with those their own age, what about the elderly? Or their own parents for that matter? On a recent trip to Dollywood, I noticed the teenagers replying in one- or two-syllable answers while texting or talking on cell phones. Is that the kind of socialization that I need? Being homeschooled we have opportunity to converse with many people of different ages. At Mount Rushmore, my sisters and I had the pleasure of sining to a World War II vereran. So many people passed him by, not noticing. I will never foget the look of joy on his face as we sang "The Star Spangled Banner" to him. This happened during the "school year" when most children were in school. I would rather socialize with that man than the "normal" tenns my own age.
On the subject of friends. Yes, I do have friends, actually. Not only firends my own age, but I do not confine myself to thinking that all my firneds have to be in the same grade. I have friends in public school, I have friends that have graduated from homeschool, pravate school, Christian school and public school. I have friends that are family, friends across the ocean and friends across the country. I have firends that are 6 and friends that are 96. I have friends that I have never actually seen face-to-face [give youselves a pat on the back HSB peoples! You made it into Syd's report!]. Yes, I do have friends that are my own age, but were it not for homeschooling, I would never have met them. Many of the friends that are my age live outside of my "school district". If nt for homeschooling, I would not get to see them except in the Summer and even then, my friends that are in public school have sports and other activities that take up their time. Being homeschooled lets us be flexible to help others and learn in unexpected ways. For example, next month my family is planning a trip to Colinial Williamsburg. I have some friends that live near Williamsburg so we are all going together. It's a great way to have fun and learn at the same time.
As for going to college, my oldest sister is in her last year of nursing school. She was homeschooled her whole life. I know many homeschoolers who have gone through college and went above and beyond what was expected.
I truely believe homeschooling is the best way to learn and I never want to have it any other way!

Aug. 14, 2009 - A day at Dollywood
Hey guys!
Has anypne ever been to Dollywood? If you have please post me a comment to say what was your favorite ride.
I haven't been on all the rides yet so I don't know but so far my favorite is Mystery Mine. It's mostly dark and you can't see what's coming and it goes strait up and strait down and upside down and EVERY POSSIBLE AWESOME DIRECTION!!!!!!!! It is the most awesome ride I have ever been on! But I am gettin' ahead o' meself.
Thursday: We left home at approx. 3:30 pm arriving at our campground in Tennesse about 8:30pm. It wasn't that bad. We got here and bedded down.
Friday: We got up about 7:00 am [I think] and went to Gatlinburg. It's a quaint little town with lotsa shops and nice little places to eat. First thing [and most important] we stopped to eat! =) [Oh man! That face looks adorable in this font! =) =) =)] After I had an enormous meal of eggs, hash browns, gravy, bisquits and sausage, of which I had to eat all because we couln't take it with us and a Yavanenski NEVER wastes food! =) [ah me darlin' face! ~<[=) heehee he's got a fooney hat! Why is it a he?] Anyway... after that we went to more shops than I care to mention! One of which included the "Celtic Heritage Shop" I have three words to describe it. AWESOME EXPENSIVE AND TOTALLY KNARLY! Okay so that's four.... BUT WE'RE ALL HOMESCHOOLERS!!! lol Okay.... that was really weird.... ***For all those who don't know what knarly is, I think it's something my sister made up.. but if you know what it is then my sister didn't make it up.*** OKay so after we went to all those shops and all we went to our camper again and rested for a while. Then we took off for Dollywood because we found out that if you go after 3 and buy a ticket, you can use that ticket all the rest of that day and all the next day too! It's totally awesome. So we are going again tomorrow. Anyway... today we rode a boring widdle water ride that was really short and not worth the wait. Then we went to a big water that was awesome and totally worth the wait! It was really fast and you felt like you would tip over and you were flying at an increadable speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so cool. We went down that one twice. Then we went on a train ride. Don't tell me mather but that was toally not worth the wait either! I did NOT like that! We just rode up and rode down. The conducter was funny but.. not worth those horribly uncomfortable seats! Then came the fun part!!!!!! THe rollercoasters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *lawfs rollercoaters* The first one we went to was Mytery Mine. As I said before IT WAS THE BEST RIDE IN THE PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!! It starts out in complete darkness..... Then.... YOU DROP!!!!!!!!! 'Down down the rush the speed'!!!!!! [That was a Narnia quote to all those who are not familiar with the awesome series] I wanted to ride that one again but as usual the youngest was outruled by the magority of older fuddy-duddies! They liked Thunderhead... That was okay but for some reason ***DUCK TAPE FIXES EVERYTHING*** It FREAKED ME OUT!!!!!! I think it was because it didn't have the things that come down over my shoulders and I could see the track! In the Mine it was dark and I couldn't see what I was riding on which scared Poe and Arabella but I really liked it!!!!! They liked seeing where they were. Anyway! They we came back to home sweet camper and we are planning to watch "The Abduction Club" on YouTube tonight! FUNTIMES!!!!!!
Saturday: Dad is taking us back to Dollywood where we will ride all the rides that we didn't ge to today and I will ride the Mine A MILLION TIMES!!!! lol No... Dad made me promise I'd only do it two more times because it's not good for me..... I can deal with that.
Sunday: *Begins to sing* HOME! OH TAKE ME HOME!! HOME TO THE PEOPLE I LEFT BEHIND! HOME TO THE LOVE I KNOW I'LL FIND! OHO TAKE ME-E HOME!!!!!!!!!!

Well it depends on what you mean by courtship. I have noticed that some Christian's use courtship as another word for dating and I do not think that at all! But my views on courtship are NO-TOUCH first of all...well actually I think first would be he has to ask my father. That is the biggest thing. And have prayer in it ALOT! I no rash decisions! My parents and family will be involved alot too. Anyway....

Somthing with SLEEVES!!!!! Even if I was allowed or wanted to wear a strapless I wouldn't because I"M SICK OF THEM!!!!!! EVERYONE wears them and they are hideously ugly!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway.... it will be long sleeves most likely because that is what I like and it has to be modest. AND WHITE! White is a symbal or purity and .... yeah......

Something ivyish or somethig that hangs down in front. I like that... I just realized what a really weird tag this is!!!!!!

Jul. 22, 2009 - A trip well tripped [oooooooooooooookay]
Hello to all my faithful readerS... if I have any..... I am back from my trip with Lynnie and J.L. It was great fun even though my nose is blistery and peeling right now [AS insists her nose is not peeling it's "Apeeling" *rolls eyes*]
Okay so I have news... I couldn't say it before I saw Lynnie because I wanted to surprise her but she saw it so here goes! I GOT MY EARS PIERCED!!!!! *ducks whatever Pipsolona decides to throw at her poor widdle friend* I got green earrings and they have to stay in for 6 weeks and I have to clean them everyday. Twice everyday actually. Yeah... I lawf them!!!!!!!! I really do!!!!
Well.. I supoose I should tell about my trip...Okay so when we left on Friday it was starting to storm.. my poor dogs were hiding [they hate storms and this one was a doozy] so we got on the road to Lynnie's house.. It wasn't really rainig that much when we got to Lynnie's. But when we got on the road................ We drove and we dorve and we drove...... In rain.. The whole trip it never stopped raining!!!! It was rediculous! There was one time it actually started raining so much tha mom had to pull over because she couldn't see!!!!! The water beside the road was about a foot deep! I'm gonna e-mail some pictures to Pip for her to post on here. Anyhoo.. Hey guys! This is the long lost Syd! I know... I've been terrible about posting but HEY! have you noticed I've posted SEVERAL entries in the time Pip has? muahahaha
Well... lets' see.. what has happened.... Well.... My friend Lynnie went off to St Louis without me. At least she TOLD me she was going! My OTHER *ahem* friend.... left and DIDN'T TELL ME!!!!! humph... I'm still mad about that! lol JK Pip. I still lawf ya!
I am off to my aunt's house today. She lives about five hours away an' she lives really close ta my friends Hanners an' Shi but THEY AREN'T GONNA BE HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *sobz her poor widdle heart out* They are soooooo much fun!!! I miss them alot. But anyway. Lynnie [to make up for goin' ta St. Louis wi' out me] is going to me aunt's house. So to always and Shi. HA! I say to you HA! lol JK. Yes, Lynnie and J.L. [Lynnie's less-known sister aka anninymouse] are both going with us to pick up Poe. Oh! did I not tell y'all! She is in Norfolk with my aunt working [voluteering] at a hospital for mentally and ohsically handicaped children. My uncle is the administrator there and Poe loves it down there. She says we are going to have to drag her away!

Jun. 30, 2009 - A rather hard post....
Hello.... yes this is Syd, but I'm in a rather subdued mood. This is a really hard post for me to write but it needs to be written.
For a while I have been obsessed with a certain singing group [yes the name of which is Celtic Thunder]. I was struck [almost litterally] today about something. I had been placing CT over my daily devotions and time with God. It hurt, yes it actually hurt, to know that singers, non-Christian singers at that, would take the place of my God and Savior. So I would like to beg forgiveness to all those whom I have caused to stumble in any way. I am to be a light to the world and acting as I did was not being a witness. I'm sorry I have no time to change my playlist at the moment so I will have to do it at the soonest possible moment. Thank you all and I am deeply sorry.

Jun. 24, 2009 - Yes I know... I haven't posted in FOREVER!
'Zup guys? Nothing much here I just thought I should tell y'all about the family reunion we had this past weekend [yeah I forgot to tell y'all I was going. MY BAD!].. Anyway ... mom's family had a family reunion... It was the first one since I had been born...[yeah....A LOOOOOONG time!] so I was really excited because we are all a very close family and we like to see each other. WE counted up the other day.... there are 69 people in Mummy's family! Ana that's just her siblings, nephews and neices! [well and her children and grandchildren] There were only 36 of all of us there but it was really fun anyhoo! We had it at my cousin's husband's hunting cabin. It doesn't sounds great but, I know, but ti was AWESOME! There wre four-wheeler trails ALL OVER THE PLACE! I do so lawf four-wheelers! There was a pond there [they said it was full of fish but I didn't catch anything!] and TONS of creeks and a big ol' river. Okay.. here is something really funny that happened! My sisters were told that if they went soen this certain river they would get to this certain bridge where we could pick them up. haha! Little did we know they were two VERY different rivers! So my poor widdle sissys are out in the wild AND WE DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY ARE!!!!!! Well... to put it in a nutshell....WE found them.. after they had floated 7 miles for THREE HOURS! lol! It was quite the adventure! E. [my cousin] and I went fishing with fruit loops! It was awesome fun and we actually caught a fish!!!!!! They like green.. just so ya know!
The last night we had a bonfire and s'mores and scared away all the bears by singing at the top of our lungs [litterally!!!] Anyway.... It was a very enjoyable...
They other day Arabella was not so snobbish and tooked me to Barnes an' Noble [Gawsh I lawf that store!] And I found out that Celtic Thunder has a new CD coming out in July!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOO!
She toooked me to Olive Garden too!!!!! AND TO SEE "UP" IN 3-D!!!!! I lawf her when she ain't a snob!!! Oh! An she wash shingin' too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She had very many friends who hated her. The only one who didn't was a boy named Slaytyr. They were vewy good friends until another boy named Damian came and gave Sydnee Alberta Francisco Adaya Yavanenski a bird called Sinkerdotaloo. It was a good bird until it ate Slaytyr. MODESTY MORE ATTRATIVE THAN SKIN by Josh Davenport
I think girls that dress modestly are attractive. There, I said it. I know it is hard to believe any guy would think that a fully clothed girl is attractive, but that is exactly what I am saying.
Unfortunatly, some girls fell like they have to show some skin in order the get attention from the opposite sex. Girls should remember guys struggle to keep their thought life pure, it is a battle that guys face everyday. It seems like it's getting more difficult to win that battle. Many fashion magazines and media promote the idea that a girl is sexy and independent by making guys slaivate over them. However, Christian girls desiring to be godly women and encourage guys to respect girls and love them for their inner character. I Timothy 2:9-10 says, " I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety...with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God."
I belive most Christian girls strive to be modest and the last thing they want is for guys to struggle in their thought life because of their appearance. There are girls who constantly need attention and have no problem dressing immodestly of it will increase their popularity. Nothing screams "I'm shallow" more than a girl who struts into a classroom in an outfit designed to grab the guys' attention. If you cannot impress a person any other way than by dressing seductively, then the problem lies with you, not with the guys.
I have become dismayed with the number of Christian girls who aspire to be more like Paris Hilton instead of the Proverbs 31 woman.Which do you think honors God more: Impressing a guy by having a godly heart, or impressing a guy by showing some skin? A guy who is a committed Christian will fall in love with a girl who loves God and chooses to dress modestly so he will not stumble. Strong Christian guys admire girls who have the maturity to dress modestly in all situations.
It is vital that girls learn that by dressing immodestly, they are not only hurting their testimony, they are dishonoring God. We are to strive to honor Christ with our lives and influence others to do likewise. One way to do that is by respecting others. Girls need to be aware-as I'm sure they are-about the need to dreass appropriatly so guys will not have impure thoughts.
I am sure many of you girls are thinking it's not your fault that guys cannot control their thought life. Self-control is a fruit of the Spririt and guys should not be excused for having impure thoughts about a girl. However, he is not as likely to have those thoughts if a girl is modestly dressed. Once girls come to the realization that how they dress is important to not only those around them but to God, then they are on their way to becoing mature Christians who think of others before themselves. Romans 12:2 say, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. THen you will be able to test and approve what God's will is His good, pleasing and perfect will."
Clearly, God wants girls to dress properly in all situations. Dressing modestly does not mean dressing as if you live in the dark ages. Instead, it simply means that you make a real effort to wear clothing that will make you look attractive without focusing on the areas that are reserved for your future husband. So girls, before you leave your dorm this year, make sure you look at your clothing and ask if this would be appropriate for you to wear, and whether or not it could make some guy stumble. "Don't think only of your own good. Thin of other Christians and what is best for them. (I Corinthians 10:24). Nothing is more attractive than a girl who is secure enough to dress with class and is confident in who she is in Christ.

We have NEW KITTENS!!! The same cat that is Loomis's mother just had kittens about a week ago. There are four and one is black and one is gray and one is yellow and one is cream. Anybody want me to send you one is the mail? heehee. Mail order kittens.

Jun. 1, 2009 - Hi y'all [a rather calm title wouldn't ya say?]
Hi! Sorry I haven't posted any news in a while. I'm getting to be as bad as [dare I say it] JULES!
So.... Lynnie came over for a while this past weekend. She and me and our sisters got haircuts. Don't worry. Nothing drastic. Actaully.... Now that I think about it, Lynnie didn't have a haircut! She just came to see me [I'm so popular!] So she and her sister spent the night and we had lotsa fun. We watched Mulan and Prince Caspian [gee was that fun!] and then we got up in the morning and had to chase a cow. I hate that cow. As always I was so cheerful and bright in the mornings that Lynnie just couldn't stand me.... She ACTAULLY hit me in the face with a pillow! LOL! No actually guys, it was the other way around. Mom came downstairs and woke us up saying that the cow was out and we had to go get it. Lynnie sat up in bed and with a bright, cheerful sickening voice said "That's okay. We need to get up anyway!" Then she grinned. SHE ACTUALLY GRINNED!!!!! At 8:00 in the morning when we had just stayed up to all hours of the night! I promply hit her in the face with my pillow. Actually it was her pillow. Makes it more painful when you get hit with something that's your very own. >=) Then I was the one that got in trouble!!! ME! sheesh. To top it all off... Lynnie and I's sisters were SITTING at the counter EATING BREAKFAST!!! Why weren't they out chasing the cow? Well... That is exactly what I asked. AND THEY LAUGHED AT ME!!!! They said I was just being a grouch! *dramatic sigh* The things I go through.
But all in all it was a loverly time with me dear friend Lynnie.
Pippers and her family came over yesterday [Sunday] and we had a loverly time. Seeing as the cow was locked in the barn and all.
Well. I am at Nanny's and I have to do some work [as ALWAYS lol NOT REALLY] So... I shall try to post more later..... if not.... Dont' send out a search party or anything... OOOO A PARTAY!!! SEND IT SEND IT!!!! =)
