Apr. 25, 2007 New Kitty + A few thoughts...
Well, today we got a handsome young male cat named KC (which happen to be my initials, so we immediately hit it off ;) ). He is supposed to be an excellent mouser, so maybe we can cut down on our mouse population. And, lucky me, I get to sleep with him tonight... I really hope he doesn't like to play with my feet like our other cat did when he was younger :D.
Now as for my thoughts...
We live on a fairly busy road, but it's right off the highway so it attracts the speedsters. My lovely dog decided to walk in the middle of the road while two cars where coming by.
"Sadie!" I called. She stopped and looked at me stupidly.
"SADIE! Come here!" 'Why?' her look basically said.
Well luckily the people slowed down before they reached her. I was very mad because I love my baby dog so much and she's been hit by a car before (she obviously didn't learn her lesson). So I grabbed her collar and pulled her to the side. She had that guilty 'I'm so sorry mommy I'll listen next time please forgive me' look.
You know who she reminds me of?
Us.
We'll just wander along, not realizing danger is nearby, and not listen to God. Sometimes we have to learn our lesson by getting hit. Sometimes God sends someone to point out the danger.
It's like sin. We follow it, not realizing the danger, and the farther we go, the harder it is to get out.
And we always take God's calling us as 'He doesn't want whats best, he just wants to take away my fun.' and we turn a deaf ear.
Oh how He wants us to get out of the road before the Mac truck comes!

Apr. 24, 2007 Babies vs. Animals
I found this memory immensely ridiculous.
One day about two years back, our collie dog Faith got out. Some animal rights activist lady found her near the highway and started giving us a tongue lashing.
My mom responds with, "And how do you feel about abortion?"
The lady answers with a curt, "I don't want to get into that right now."
What is WRONG?
'Save the whales' but kill the babies? Because it's 'a free choice'.
Yeah, if I go out and hold a revolver to someones head and shoot them, that's free choice also. But I am taking someones life.
Ok, how about I gag, blindfold and tie up the person (and make them as helpless as a baby). Now they can't tell me if they want to die or not. The law would still consider it murder.
So, why is abortion not considered murder?
