The Storm

I have heard a saying recently, 'Sometimes God calms the storm, and sometimes God calms the child within the storm.'I have found this to be true. I guess I don't really want to go into details; but we were in a bit of a financial storm this fortnight. Throughout, I told my husband that God would provide. Funnily enough, no new money arrived, but I was able to use what we already had with the money we did have to provide food for our family for the rest of the fortnight. And I felt calm throughout. Then, today, God gave us $20. Now we can have something a little bit nicer for the last couple of days of this fortnight. Isn't God good? God truly calmed the storm. But he calmed the child first. And I must say, God gave us $20, not more... he didn't give us enough to go have a blow out, or buy all our favourite meals; he gave us enough to get just that little bit more.
