So we didn't do school.Oh, Jasmine did a page of maths and learned about place value, but that's just because she was asking about people's ages and knowing that grandma was 46 and grandad was two years older naturally lead to maths. That's right, we did some Spanish, but that's only because the kids watched Dora the explorer and we wanted to look up some Spanish colours online and practice them. We discussed the spelling of words that end in 'ight', but that's just because Jasmine wanted to write a label for a drawing she did. We discussed rhyming words too, that just came up in conversation. Of course there was singing and drawing; they're just plain fun. Reading too. We enjoyed socialization when the Home Icecream man came to the front of the house, and then when we ate ice blocks in the backyard. And we practiced Psalm 1:1, Jasmine is trying to learn the whole of Psalm 1 for a contest in a few months (it only has six verses). So yes, today was a public holiday, so we didn't do school. But goodness, I love homeschooling! Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 41 of 209 } { Next Page } |
