Well, I'm home. I left for the town my Grandma lives in on Thursday morning about 5:10am. It was a three and a half hour drive. We made it ok, and without incident, went straight to the nursing home.Thankfully, we got there in time. I was able to stay for two days, and left this morning after saying my final goodbye. She is still with us, which seems amazing that she hasn't had food or water since Wednesday. She's actually refusing or inable to swallow anything, so if you put anything in her mouth it's just a choking hazard. I got home today later than I had wanted to, due to Jasmine being sick twice, being stuck behind an oversized vehicle that took up both lanes, and then having to stop for road works. As a result, I got to walk in the door, say goodbye to my husband, and watch him leave for work. I am very thankful I got to spend that time with Grandma. The children got to spend some time with her too. Even Jaidyn was stroking her forehead and blowing kisses to her. I will treasure that memory. Well, there's nothing to do now but wait. I guess I'll be jumping every time the phone rings. We'll have to take another trip down south next week sometime, we assume, for the funeral. So yes, God protected us. I was even in a car crash. A P-plater ran into me from behind while I was stopped at an intersection. But only her car was damaged, and New Baby didn't make a peep. So I'm feeling a little emotionally battered, but that's it, and frankly, many people live through worse experiences than this! Thanks for your prayers.
