Well my husband had the last couple of nights off work; he was already rostered off on Sunday and Tuesday nights, those are his 'weekend', and he took Monday off because we were all sick, and I had to go up to the hospital to check bub was alright.Yes, bub is fine. Because I'd been sick I was slightly dehydrated, which caused painful contractions at times. As long as I drink a lot of water though, bub will be fine. Anyway, so today he had to go in to work quickly to get his timetable for the next week. His boss was there having lunch when Ken turned up, and asked Ken if he had a few minutes for a chat. Uh oh... Well, Ken was offered the position of 2IC! It's not starting until next week, but he will start the hours tonight (for training purposes), which means when he woke up this morning he'd thought he was only working until 1am, and instead he is working until 4am. So he will sleep well tomorrow, I am sure. Now I'm just hoping I'm not sick again tonight. The pains were really bad last night between the hours of 1 and 3, so I really hope they calm down tonight! I can't sleep in tomorrow! _________________ In other news, Jasmine finished a section in maths that she's been plugging away at for a while. She can now officially count forwards and backwards to 100! Yay Jasmine! We will start larger numbers tomorrow. Savannah read to me again today, although we just repeated the story we read yesterday. I might introduce the third book tomorrow; the earlier books introduce concepts slowly with a lot of revision, and she's already got the three words she's covered down pretty well. I've started reading 'Peter Pan and Wendy' to the kids, because a part of me feels like I should be reading classic literature to the children, and Jasmine has been asking for it. Frankly I think the book is a bit weird. And I majored in English Literature, so I've spent whole semesters covering weird... Jaidyn is his normal happy self. He is very social, and communicating with us quite well. He had been quite sick over the weekend, so it is lovely seeing him playing happily with his sisters. They are precious.
