Did I just graduate???

Many, many years ago I enrolled in a Bachelor degree of Primary Education.  That went sour after a few years, and after a years' break, I changed to a Bachelor of Arts (History, English Literature).  Having just had my first child, the study went slowly.... slowly...

Well I've just found out the results from this last semester, and I got a B.  I didn't earn a B but they gave me one anyway.  I'm not going to complain too loudly!

Now, if I've done my maths right, I think I'm now eligible for graduation.  I have to have done a certain amount of subjects in each of my majors, four subjects in a minor (Psychology) and three random electives.  I believe I have now completed those requirements.  I have not got an official statement of graduation as yet, so I won't make too much of a song and dance... yet...

BUT!  I just got a Credit in a subject that I thought I wouldn't pass.  And now I might have graduated.  And it will do NOTHING to improve my life except to free up some time for what really matters - my kids.

And of course, I'd completely forgotten that today was results day until 9.45pm, meaning I could have known hours ago, and of course Kenny is at work so I can't tell him :(  So I rang my mum and I wrote Kenny a letter he'll read when he gets home from work.

 You know, the smilies they have here don't really cut it.  I might have to find out how to add a more impressive array.  You know, for those special occasions!

Congratulations. Even if it doesn't matter, congratulations on finishing it. It's still an accomplishment and shows your tenacity.
