A Fun Few Days

Posted in Tot School

We had a very relaxed day today.  It started with watching Clifford and having pancakes.  Then Elizabeth and I started on Charlotte while Rebekah watched Play with Me Sesame.  Elizabeth's first project was to work on was to create a picture of an imaginary land.  Here she is working on her creation and the finished product.

Rebekah joined us in the middle of this project!  She started her day by working on her Noah's Arc Tot Book.  She loved doing her book.  We worked on her colors as she colored the arcs.

I still have to add the cover graphic to her book, but I will post photos when it is done.

This summer I bought two great books for Rebekah, I Can Paste and I Can Color.  These are really great books that have simple, but fun projects for her to work on.  Today, we did the first page from I Can Paste.  She just LOVED doing this!

Yesterday we had a libary day.  Then we walked through the park over to the playground.  The girls had so much fun playing on the boat.  We had to make a stop at church.  On the way out of the parking lot we saw two beautiful bucks!

I took this picture at the park yesterday.  Just a reminder that fall is just around the corner.

Our First Day of School

Posted in Tot School

Today was our first "official" day of homeschool for the year.  E started 2nd grade and R started tot school!  We started the day with breakfast and then moved right into school.  The girls each got a little goody bag filled with school supplies and a few craft projects.  Each girl was also given a first day of school certificate.  Then we went into our unit study on Charlotte's Web.  Today was our overview of the book.  The girls also got sheets to color.  We will use these to decorate our bulletin board.
