Unpredictable Outcome

Saturday, December 1, 2007 - NaNoWriMo Day!

By the time I finish writing this post, it will be past midnight, and I will be able to start writing my novel. Yay. :)

To give you an idea of what I'm up against, I have a list of how many words I have to write during certain periods of time. All numbers are not exact, and do not account for rest, food, etc.

50,000 per month
1,622 per day
[100 sentences per day]
67 words per hour
(4.25 sentences per hour)
1.13 words per minute

Yup.

That's that.

Yay for you! Good luck with it. I did NaNoWriMo last year and nearly broke my neck, but that was because I didn't have an idea for a story, and that didn't work for me. I finished it, but it stunk to high heaven.

Aw, you can do it :-D. I did mine in closer to 26 days, actually...not to discourage you..... ;-)
Aha--I just realized that since you're doing it in December, you'll have one extra day! How interesting.

Well, sweetpotato, I do actually have a bit of a plot, so maybe I have a chance. We'll see. :-)

And yes, I know, the extra day...I'm such a wimp. ;-)

Thursday, December 6, 2007 - Brilliant!

Hello! This is "Mr. Brockhouse" from Woodhall, ages back. How're the goats? :>)

This is a brilliant idea! I'm tempted to try it. I've calculated- one would need to write about five pages a day... It's eminently do-able. Perhaps if I wasn't so busy with school and college stuff, hm? :p

Brockhouse, old fellow! How've you been? It's been awhile, my fault of course. And here's an example of my neglect and procrastination. My sister had to tell me that you posted a comment on my blog, and it's taken me this long to reply. Anyway, it's simply brilliant to hear from you!
Oh, and the goats are pretty good. One of our goats kidded, three kids, but she gave birth sometime during the night, which was bitterly cold, and all three kids were lost. The mama goat was very sad, but I think she's a little better now, I think. Though goats have longer memories than one might think.

Yes, it IS a neat idea. It was undoubtedly among the most fun and most grueling projects I've undertaken. But I'm going to write a blog post about it, so you'll hear all about it, I suppose. If you read it, that is.

(And thanks to everyone who's been patiently waiting for me to post; I will do so soon!)

long comment. Too long *runs away*
