Stuck in the drive
| We decided to go to the grocery last night. We never had any new snow, but we still have about a foot of snow on the ground from last weeks snowstorm. We were in the car at first. I told DH we needed to turn around and get the truck when we had a little trouble making to the end of our half-mile driveway. We came back and everyone jumped in our 4wd truck. Off we went to the grocery, with confidence in that truck. We got our groceries and gas and headed back home. We saw a road crew clearing the roads. There seemed to be an accident on the interstate because traffic was backed up out there. We turned in our drive and made it half way before we got to the section of drive that has fence on either side so we can move the cattle up to the other pasture. We hit it, but not hard enough, cause we made it just a little ways before we were stuck. We walked the rest of the way to the house. DH and DDs went back out with the sled to get the groceries. DS3 said he wasn't going back out in that.. That's the way Momma felt, too. Gramps is going to come up to pull us out with his tractor today, but first he has to get himself out. He got his truck stuck in his drive last night, too! |
