My "dead'' words are: Tiny weird miniscule queer interesting plain dangerous
My Tour of the Bedroom
As you enter our bedroom, (my brother and I share in one) you'll see the sides of 2 armchairs side-by-side against the wall.
The wall is on the left. The 2 armchairs are exactly the same, they are wooden with blue covers for the back and seat cushions. They also have one square pillow each.Beside the chairs are 2 black suitcases and 3 clear plastic boxes that are 2 times bigger than a suitcase. Right above the suitcases and boxes are 5 windows. Beyond all that is my wooden dresser with my bags and all sorts of girly things strewn all over it. My dresser sits at a corner, at the left of it is our closet. That's where we keep our clothes (obviously) and my doll collection. My dolls are from different countries around the world with its own national costume.
At the farthest corner there is my brother's side table. Next to that is my bed, my brother's,a door and an old closet with an ancient creaking voice. The door leads to the bathroom at which my parent's bedroom is connected to. The dusty closet has an assortment of boardgames, dingy books and bags. The closet is also at a corner. A tall mirror with a black frame dangles on one of the white walls.

Oct. 15, 2008 - Lesson 6
Great dead-word list. Nice job! I hadn't thought of some of those (like miniscule) forgive spelling. My spelling is atrocious! Thank the Lord for spell check.
You gave a vivid description of your room. I could "see" the chairs, the desk, the bed...everything. Everything except the "stuff." Yep. Found a dead word. What is "stuff"? That told me nothing about what it actually was. An example or two would have painted a picture for me.
Speaking of pictures, the drawings of the "ship" from both you and your brother are vivid examples of taking care with the assignment. I salute you! Most impressive. :-)
I think I will go into the WW lessons and include this sentence about the assignment: "Include a photograph of your room (if possible) so I can see if your word picture matches the real thing."
p.s. I just saw this post and I KNOW I logged in as skmarlow and the writing workshop. I don't know why it logged me in as SuzyScribbles. But I'm sure you'll figure out I'm the same person. :-)
