Today I was reading Galatians 3. I've been spending my quiet time studying the Word about the law. I have been finding some good stuff especially in Galatians 3. Galatians 3:24 (Amplified Bible) 24So that the Law served [a][to us Jews] as our trainer [our guardian, our guide to Christ, to lead us] until Christ [came], that we might be justified (declared righteous, put in right standing with God) by and through faith.
Then I read a neat little note on the word tutor: (Gk. paidagogos) (3:24,25;1 Cor. 4:15) Strong's #3807: The Greek term means "custodian" or a person who attends a child. In Greek households a faithful servant was given the responsibility of taking care of a boy from childhood to puberty. The servant kept him from both physical and moral evil, and went with him to his amusements and to his school. Paul used the word to say that the law functioned as a child-custodian. The law acted as an outward check on desires, thus making the consciousness of sin more acute. And since none of us is able to deal with sins by ourselves, the law guides us to Christ, our own Rescuer and Savior. So on that note it made me think ahh that is why having the Ten Commandments in the schools and what not is important because the law convicts one of sin and that conviction leads them to Christ the remedy for sin. The Ten Commandments in the school may be the only Biblical law some kids will ever see. |

Well I figured I better put something up being it has been awhile. This school year has been pretty good but I have to admit I am so looking forward to summer break. 3 more weeks and counting! :)
It's so interesting to me that when summer break is around the corner the time that many would feel "time to take a break". I feel compelled to read homeschool books. Maybe it's because God wants to refresh my vision for the next year. So right now I'm re-reading Homeschooling the Right Choice! by Christopher Klicka. Then I'll probably read some others like Public School Against America by Marlin Maddoux and Let My Children Go by Ray Moore Jr. Lord willing! |
|
Everyone is talking about what God is telling them about 2009 the word I'm hearing from the Lord is change is coming- to all of you. Last night He said to me it won't be long now. If you have been reading my blog you are aware that we are waiting on God's provision to move to Alaska. I'm more and more convince that it is getting closer and that this could finally be the year we move. Over the last 4 years we have homeschooled we have constantly revamped our school. I finally am getting some sense, some anyways of what curriculum to use. So now we are doing workbooks for two of the classes, a online class for one, textbook for one, etc.. I like it and so does my child it has been good! God showed me what direction to take concerning the curriculum in my sleep. He is so awesome! |
|
Before I went off to sleep I saw a huge long bag, about as long as our house in my hand in my mind and drifted off to sleep.
Last night I had an awesome dream! I was sitting with a group of people with 3 big bulging overnight bags next to me then I got up and went to get ready for a Wedding, my Wedding. My husband and I were getting married again. My Wedding dress was simply elegant...long train. Oh if you could have saw it! My hubby was in a tux, he looked great! We even slow danced. Then I woke up with this song on my heart... The King is Coming I just heard the trumpet sounding and now His face I see. The King is coming (2) Praise God He is coming for me.
I feel this had a double meaning...moving day is coming and Jesus' return for us! |
|
Christians Who Are You? Up from the grave He rose again And as He stands in victory. As Jesus was on earth so are we. We have been resurrected from death unto life and now can declare we have the victory! Our side wins...we overcome because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world! So rejoice if you are His! We have gone from Adam's bloodline (sin that leads to death - physical & eternal) to the bloodline of Jesus Christ (faith that leads to life eternal). We who had no name or inheritance like Ruth have one NOW in God's Son Jesus! Hallelujah! |
|
I'm leaving on a Jet plane don't know when I'm coming back again... If you have read some of my other entries you would have seen how for some time now God has been speaking to me about us moving to Alaska; and how that day is quickly approaching. Last November I was given a word concerning Alaska: new thing Isaiah 43:19 over not under 1 or 2 changes Do not fear or worry! Do not be precise if it's not this way it's not God! I'm now in the new season ! I'm seeing God leading and directing me in new ways in different areas of my life. He gave me an awesome revelation the other day: "this newness will bring Alaska to you!" Hallelujah! Just like a magnet the new annointing upon me is attracting Alaska! He told me last November -"I will make a way in the wilderness" - in regards to moving to Alaska! Alaska is to spring forth out of the new thing that God is doing! It's beginning to rain, rain, rain hear the voice of the Father...

Think your shoes are uncomfortable?
Thanks goes out to my Uncle for sending me these pictures. I once did research on the internet to learn more about how Japan was big on small feet and found some info. and one picture. These pictures say it all! It made me think of a scripture: I so feel for the woman of Japan!

It has been a long time since I have wrote. A lot has been going on for starters we are waiting on God to move us into our promise land. My husband's homeland ALASKA! The wait has been long and at times hard God first spoke to me about us moving 4 years ago. Then back in September after silence for 4 year He started speaking again more so now then before. I hear him in my sleep, in the waking hours, etc... Our Pastor talked today on us being Over-comers! I struggled to sit through the special that was sung today Your Redemption Draweth Nigh. A word God gave me weeks ago that when you see the signs of Spring know that your redemption draws nigh. (our move) Years of time have come and gone Signs of the times are everywhere This is how I've been feeling for awhile a brand new Spring feeling...like it's coming our moving is closer and closer. One day I wrote in my journal "it is Officially Spring yet not any sign that anyone can see." (Moving in Spring) Then God said this to me .... "There is a cloud, as small as a man's hand, rising out of the sea!" (I Kings18:44) "See with your spiritual eyes not your physical eyes."
I hear God saying you'll move soon and that "that they would know there is a God who is concern (intimately involved) in the affairs of man." I believe He is going to make believers out of believers and non-believers alike...a miracle in the working! Your Redemption Draweth Nigh(Special song at church) When I was hearing this song I got teary-eyed and wanted to run out. I know that we are called to be missionaries to Alaska and here we are! I try not to talk about it to people anymore because they haven't heard what God has been saying..He has been saying it is time to go! We may not have the credentials of a missionary but God has called us to be everyday missionaries to the people of Alaska. I believe the tribes of Alaska Awesome ... God just showed me how we can test whether someone's dream is coming from God and whether it's okay to help them in fulfilling it. 1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. (1 John 4:1-3) If you listen to someone long enough you'll know whether their dream is God's dream and if God's dream shouldn't we want to fulfill it! Is it coming from God? Will it glorify God or the flesh? Is the person one of God's children? Are we afraid that we'll help a false prophet or have we given into the world's system of keep to your own...everyone watching out for uno or like I said maybe we're not to help that individual. It doesn't hurt to ask God in any given situation....for we know ministries aren't the only one in the body of Christ that God may want to bless through us. I'm just as guilty and I think it's time we listen for His voice and see the road signs in peoples lives along the way. What is God saying?
Sorry for getting off on a tagent. The other subject is I have resolved to homeschool another year, my husband and I seriously considered christian school but in just one day God started giving me a fresh vision towards homeschooling as well as my writing. I must believe Alaska is coming for it is obvious I'm in the Springtime of my life.

We started our day off bright and early and ventured off to the museum. My favorite display was:
When the kids went around the side the guide asked them what they saw my child said Jesus in a robe. I thought wow how awesome it makes me think of the Bride of Christ getting ready for the big banquet. For one day soon Jesus the King of Kings is coming to capture His Bride! On the way home my husband and I were talking about Noah. He made a comment on how the Word of God contains newspaper headlines we don't see everything, we don't see every detail. Just like life that is a profound statement "we don't see everything" just the bits and pieces God chooses to show us. Just like a puzzle so is our life! It's up to us to seek Him out and if we will He'll give us a glimpse of what He is doing that to me makes the Christian walk exciting! Knowing that God is always up to something...surprises! Shh...God has a secret...What a mean by that He has a calling, a place where we are to live and many other wonderful things instore for us. Let's walk together hand and hand with Him and discover our whole inheritance for it is a good inheritance! Proverbs 25:2 (New International Version)2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; For example, can you imagine being on the Ark for a year. The different emotions you might have observed: boredom, loneliness - desire to see other people, a desire to see land, discouragement, depression the smell and noise of the animals hope, excitement, expectation of what God had done in sparing their lives and what He was about to do in bringing them to a new land, fresh start, NEW BEGINNING! Now the flood was on the earth 40 days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. Genesis 7:17 (NKJ) I'm sure it was an interesting 40 days to say the least! 40 days...what can God do in 40 days? He delivered Noah in 40 days. Can you imagine the expectation Noah's family felt as they waited for the ark to move and when they went in bang God shut the door behind them? The shut door was a symbol to them of safety, closure, and deliverance. God was indeed delivering Noah and his family! Later we watched The Robinson's, great movie. The video at the end explains well what God is doing in my life..a renewed love for His Word - bringing it to life before my eyes, and birthing in me a appreciation for time! The video link is down below enjoy! I'm starting to enjoy life! I'm so thankful that God is interested in our heart and will do whatever He has to to protect it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mT6EVIIcLLo |

I serve a risen Saviour, He's in the world today; I know that He is living, Whatever men may say; I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, And just the time I need Him He's always near. Chorus: He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and He talks with me Along life's narrow way. He lives, He live, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives: He lives within my heart. In all the world around me I see His loving care, And tho my heart grows weary I never will despair; I know that He is leading Thro' all the stormy blast, The day of His appearing Will come at last. Chorus Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, Lift up your voice and sing Eternal hallelujahs To Jesus Christ the King! The hope of all who seek Him, The help of all who find, None other is so loving, So good and kind. Chorus |
1 Thessalonians 5:13-30 (New King James Version)
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
AMEN

One of God's methods for directing His children's steps is through drying up resources: a job loss, a career change, or a disaster. In these times we are willing to listen more intently, and to seek God in ways we would not normally do. C.S. Lewis once wrote, "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains; it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world." [C.S.Lewis, The Problem of Pain (New York: Macmillan Publishing Company, 1962), 93.] Yes my friend the well was being dried up... it was as though the cloud was moving onward...that is how I put it...the annointing is moving and when it moves it's in your best interest to move with it. God put it this way to me once "sheep move why is it so hard for the shepherds (some Pastors) to accept this? They need to let go and let God! Some people think that we are to stay in the same church until the day we die...just like we are to live in the same place until we die. That is absurd...seasons change don't they and so do we! If fresh water stays in the same place to long it gets stagnant, so do we my friend - to stay fresh we must move now and then or we will suffer the same fate! So tarry on my friend! But don't move until the cloud moves! As far as the shout during my pain goes...After 5 years of being part of a church with God's help I came to the conclusion that it wasn't Biblically sound and that there was no real love. 10 weeks after leaving my husband mentioned to a Pentecostal brother we were visiting a Baptist church and he said but there are no gifts there and God shouted these words to me over the horizon "the greatest gift of all is love". Yes the greatest gift that I have been shown since we have been there has been love! Guess what love is one of the gifts mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13, the main gift! Read 1 Corinthians 12-14 my dear Pentecostal brothers and sisters and you'll see that it is an important gift it is the greatest gift of all and many of the Baptists have it. Some may not understand or possess the others but they got love and they have it in abundance!!! I have known this since childhood. We went again Sunday and a few called me by name, they remembered me. I was invited to a Sunday School class. There were so many friendly faces! One guy made sure to invite us to stay for fellowship which is after church in which they have coffee and donuts. I believe God wants me in the Baptist church to show and teach them what I have learned among the Pentecostals concerning the gifts, etc... If only we would all unite instead of being denominations! God doesn't see denominations when He looks down from Heaven. Jesus doesn't see denominations when He walks through the halls of the churches, among the pews,etc... He sees either sinners or sinners saved by grace not Pentecostals (gifts), Baptists, (no gifts?), etc.....

This Baptist Church has the most lovely glass picture windows I have ever seen. Proverbs 18:24 (New King James Version)24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly,[a]
A Soaring Eagle Looking For A Home Ten weeks and no home church. Where is this lonesome bird going to perch? I visited a Baptist church and found myself not in the lurch. The Savior was there ready to greet me for He knows how to keep me. As we came in to praise Him I felt a heart felt "at home" peace a blazin'. The Pastor speaked of a father's love, then of the Father from up above. I felt right then a touch from Him and knew I'd never be the same again. A few days later a welcome gift came to my haven by hand of the Pastor straight from the hand of the Master - to a gentlemen and his maiden addressed from your Friends at the Baptist Church. I was not at a lurch for God told me to visit this church. Where is this lonesome bird going to perch? Is this, going to be my - home church?
Memories I grew up in the Baptist Church and I have alot of wonderful memories as a result of it. -scripture memorization -a love for scripture -a love for missionaries -a love for the Baptist In my early teens my parents left the First Baptist church that I grew up in and went to a non-denominational church by the time I was 16 I left the church altogether. At the age of 21 I came back to Jesus and my sister invited me to a Pentecostal church talk about a new experience. Since then I have been in a few Pentecostal churches and this will be my second Baptist church. The last time I went to a Baptist church Pentecostal brethren were telling me but they don't have the gifts and of course once again that's what I'm hearing as though they are second class Christians. However, this is what they do have...LOVE!!!!!! That my brother is one of the gifts! That is why I keep getting drawn back! I have found from my own experience that the Pentecostal churches that I've been in may have the gifts. (barely, in small degree if at all) But I feel they lack the greatest gift of all love! 1 Corinthians 13 (New King James Version)
1 Corinthians 13The Greatest Gift1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing. 1 Corinthians 14 (New King James Version)1 Corinthians 14Prophecy and Tongues1 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
1 Corinthians 13 (New King James Version)4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
I rather be in a church that has love and loves me and my family than has all the other gifts for love is the greatest gift. God's Word says love is the greatest gift. That has been God's answer to what people have been saying to me and my husband. Where there is love there will be love for God's Word and for the lost! Purity is what God desires!!! Like I said up above I'd rather be in a church that has the gift of love than a church w/o love and all the other gifts in I cor. 12 -14. I've been in churches with the gifts except for love and well let's just say you walk out w/ a bankrupt heart. God will send people into my life that have the other gifts as needed. If a church have not love it profits nothing!

As we gathered this Christmas with family at my parents house and unexpected visitor wanted to come over as well my mother could not say no, that person was my possibly soon to be ex sister in-law. There is much friction right now and it took much courage for my mom to say yes especially being my brother was there. A few days before Christmas God gave me a poem to give her and told me to get her a doll - this was before I even knew she was coming. But God knew she was coming! Before she left with tears in her eyes I gave her a hug told her I loved her and gave her the card with the poem. The sad thing is there is a child in the middle of all of this! I've been through divorce myself but I have also been forgiven, redeemed, and given a new husband and a new start. God does restore! However, divorce should not be a decision taken lightly Divorce is not the unpardonable sin nonetheless it is still a serious sin that grieves the heart of God! Thank God for God's grace. God does hate divorce for it does destroys families and God says in His Word it is a garment of violence. Malachi 2:16 (New King James Version)16 “ For the LORD God of Israel says Here's the poem incase anyone else out there needs to be reminded of how God is with us through thick and thin no matter what.
At The Crossroads I've been at the crossroads from which you now stand Love isn't always easy and it's not always grande But know that the Father is there holding your hand And know that He knows where you now stand And He loves and accepts you no matter where you choose to stand for He is the great I AM!

My daughter and I made a stable ornament out of popsickle sticks and two clothes pins for her Art assignment last week. You'll see it hanging in the middle of our Christmas tree! As I hung it on the tree the words of a prayer that I recited a week earlier came to my mind "help me to find the manger this Christmas". Then God shared with me this message: The Humbled and Exalted ChristPhilippians 2:2-11 (New King James Version) 1) The stable is empty for He is no longer a baby He has grown up! 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 2) He is no longer on the cross for He has risen and is now at the right hand of the Father! 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 3) He is soon coming back again as King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Is He that Now? Is He receiving that title which is rightfully HIS in the world, in the church NOW? For one day if not now on earth in this world, in our hearts, in our lives, He will when He comes! Philippians 2:9-11 (New King James Version) 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
My Christmas card to you! http://medi-share.org/christmas/index.html I found the manger and it is spelled L-O-V-E !!!

Today started like any other day; well, almost any other day except for the exception that I'm fasting right now. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying this because I'm more spiritual but because I wanted to share with you something God taught me yesterday.
I skipped breakfast then i had lunch, the one meal that I'm having then I called my sister whom I confide in. I've been sharing with her some things God has been showing me in regards to my church. She went to the same church at one time so of course I justified it as she can relate with me. I felt it probably wasn't right but I called her anyways. We are on our way out of that church due to things not being Biblically sound there not that that makes it right by any means. After I got off the phone I didn't feel right. God started speaking to me --
He brought these scriptures and words to my spirit:
Isaiah 58:5,6 (New King James Version)
5 Would you call this a fast,
"You're adding insult to injury!"
insult- to speak or to treat with insolence or contempt; to abuse verbally, an act or remark that offends someone. (insulter)
injury- damage or harm inflicted or suffered
1.) He reminded me that we do not war against people but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness.
Ephesians 6:12 (New King James Version)12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
2.) He reminded me of two essential things: speaking the Word of God over a situation and asking Him for things that are in accordance to His will.
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 (New King James Version)4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Ezekiel 37:3
3 And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? Ezekiel 37:4
4 Again He said to me, Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!
1 John 5:14 (New King James Version)
Confidence and Compassion in Prayer14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 3.) He reminded me instead of talking about our mountain or problem (complaining) we are to talk to our mountain because we can change things by our tongues..
Matthew 17:20 (New King James Version)20 So Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief;[a] for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 4.) I was reminded as well to listen for His voice to begin with!
James 4:17 (New King James Version)17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
5.) If you can't say anything nice don't say anything!
Our silence today results in God's speaking in the final day, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"
"We make things worst by our words!" No matter how pained we are! We feel like everyone needs to hear our story a vindication I guess. But what we need to do is trust Him. I have been reminded again today by the One who holds me tight to His heart and side once again these words that He keeps speaking to me "do no be afraid in time I will answer all your questions trust in Me, cling to Me I am with you."
This has been a hard time for me as I say goodbye again to another church...I'm not sure where we are going and it's not that we've not been down that road before its the absence of truth, absolute truth I'm seeing in much of the body of Christ that pains me! Where oh where will I find it? I will find that pure church!!!! For I'm making a stand for truth! Absolute truth, no watered down truth, no half-hearted church for me!!!
After all this information I bowed my head and asked God to forgive me for my careless words and went to the mercy seat and prayed for my church with the aid of the Word of God. I also took that which I have seen with my natural eyes and spoke that which God and I want to see over that place! All I can do now is give the church into God's hands! My desire and God's is one that they would become a pillar of truth, absolute truth! Nothing but truth! Now I must move on and keep silent...no more tearing down...there's enough tearing down in the body of Christ even if the report was true and was confirmed by God. It was not to degrade them it was to teach me and to confirm to my family that it is time to move on.
I want the whole truth nothing but the truth so help me God!
This all reminds me of a song...
