Musings From the Nut House

Mar. 25, 2008

There's no place like home!!!!

We arrived home safe and sound, and on time! Possibly a first for Delta!! We had a wonderful homecoming of friends and family with posters and balloons and lots of happy tears!! To see our 3 other children running to us was indescribable.

We are all home under one roof and that is the BEST feeling; finally having our whole family together. The kids are doing well together. They have ridden bikes, played volleyball, and all kinds of things. I realize this is probably the honeymoon stage, but it's such a blessing to watch them together and hear them laughing.

The kids have had no problem with the time change. We are doing pretty good with it as well. It's really hard to keep going when night falls in Ukraine, but we've been able to stay up until 9:00 or 10:00 and get up around 7:00. That's a schedule I hope to stay on. I've always been a night owl in the past and it drives Chad crazy. I have WAY to much to do sleep in at all, anyway!

Please, keep us in your prayers as we adjust to our new family and as we all bond with the new kiddos. I'll keep you posted as we go along.

Blessings,

Wendy

Thank you for opening up your lives and thoughts during the adoption process, and travels home. Even though we've never met I am so thrilled that Katya and Andrei will be in your family, so full of love. My daughter and I loved reading your blogs and we loved the pictures. It was great to see pictures of Yana, Ira, and Vanya the last day you were at #2 house. Regan is going to Camp Gorney this summer especially to see those three kids. When you are all settled we (Regan and I) would love to hear how it is going. my email: c_watkins58@hotmail.com or Regan's: reegiewats@hotmail.com

Ok, we're kinda jealous but mostly just super happy that you're home. How awesome that must be. We can't wait to get home and say hi to your two newest additions. I hear Katya and Alaina have been able to talk. Alaina's been asking me when she'd be able to talk with her. I know she's so thrilled that Katya has a family.

Also, we're glad to hear that the settling in process is going so well so far. We pray that continues. Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Glad to hear you are all home safe & sound. I Hope the children are adjusting to life in a new home and new family...... it can be so hard after the "honeymoo period" is over. Let's hope and pray that they will be able to begin the healing process.
Blessings,
