Okay this is one of the silliest things that I have ever done. While we were on vacation up in Farmington at one of our many "dog stops" (roll of eyes) we found 3 grocery sacks full of paperbacks just lying on the side of the road which we could tell had been there for awhile!! Okay, being the book lovers that we are, we dig through and find a few treasures to keep. We used one for kindling at our campsite that was put up for 10 seconds before the rain - okay! Don't gasp at burning a book! This one was totally demolished, crumpled, had fallen out of the bag, gotten wet and was moldy -- it was trash and we needed a fire - lol. I posted some of the books on PaperBackSwap but the remaining I brought home and entered into BookCrossing.
What is that you say? LOL It is a community that leaves books lying around for other people to find and hopefully read then log into the computer that they have left it again somewhere for somebody else. Hee - hee! I feel like a gitty school girl because I found these and now I am going to leave them hopefully very sneaky like at the airport cuz I really want my books to travel. So if you have the inkling to do the same or you just happen to see a book lying around with no apparent owner, check the inside cover cuz it may be a book that was released into the wild for some worm to read! LOL
