Unexpected Blessings

We have family in this weekend.  This is the same family that I shared about a few weeks ago regarding a heartbreaking trip home that left us feeling very disconnected from our family.  The news of our fifth blessing on the way wasn't very well-received.

Imagine my surprise this evening when I opened up the birthday gift at dinner from them and found a layette set, a simply adorable onesie set, and precious soft teddy bear for my baby.  Uh, I just sat at the table and bawled. Nathan did too. We were both just so excited to feel some acceptance from them about the baby.  It was so nice!!!  It was a blessing, really.  I just went through the bag again and touched and smelled everything.  With our last two babies, we haven't gotten very much new.  How sweet that I got these first precious gifts for our new baby from the very people we were afraid wouldn't ever accept him/her.  Also, when we did our family prayers (before bed) the very person that had yet to MENTION this baby prayed for it's life to be safe and grow healthy.  Uh-again!  Of course I could hardly pray when it came around to me.

Thank you Lord for this blessing tonight.  You are so good to us.  Thank you for softening these hearts and helping them see the light of YOUR love in this sweet life.

*hugs!* God can work in any heart... and how could anyone resist the sweet Pistachio... er, peanut?

Rejoicing with you,

So happy to hear this!

I was just stopping by to ask if you could please pass the word about the "Labor in Love" 30-Day Encouragement Challenge (from Revive Our Hearts) that we're doing beginning Sept. 4th? It would be great to have as many women as possible doing this (and I'm sure the husbands wouldn't mind either!)

In Him,
Amy
