...you like classics. I do too! I haven't read a lot of those, but I have read some of the newer books you mentioned on your list.

I don't think I've read any of those. But I have heard that A Basket of Flowers is good!
I'm not allowed to read The Scarlet Letter or Shakespear's(sp?) works. It really doesn't make a difference, though, since I have no desire to read them.
I think my sisters may have read some of the other books you listed.
What's A Passage to India about? It sounds interesting!

Oooo, fun books! Those are great lists. I've read a lot of those. I remember Les Miserables being a bit hard for me to understand, but that was awhile ago, so maybe I was just too young for it.
The last two about college and distance learning are very good and packed full of ideas. And one of my favorites is Daughters of Destiny. :-)
Have a good day,
Mandy

RYC:
LOL!! That is funny that the puppy won't let you go back to bed, but I guess it will help you get more things done, huh??
I am hosting a Super Contest. Come by and see!!
Love,
Miss Amanda

On your To Read list, I don't think I've read any of them, well, I did try to read Hamlet but that's just not my kind of book. : D I hope you enjoy it though. But I
have watched some of them. : D I've seen Gone With the Wind, Les Miserables, (well, we started to watch it but mom didn't like it so we stopped but I enjoyed what I did get to see) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (seen the old one) The Wizard of Oz, Wuthering Heights, Moby Dick, The Yearling, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Gullivers Travels, Huckberry Finn, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. So, if any of these books are like the movies, they are very good. : D
Daughters of Destiny" by Noelle Wheeler is a great book. I really enjoyed reading that one. I have not read any of the other ones on your list. Isn't that just horrible? : D Not sure if that helps you or not. : )
Well, have a wonderfully blessed day and weekend!
lots of hugs,
Jordan Lee

"Les Miserables" is, in my opinion, one of the best novels ever written. It is beautiful. "Underground History of American Education" by Gatto is excellent.
God bless you! You must be a great girl!
