Nov. 30, 2007 - The Duchess Bakes a Cake by Virginia Kahl

This book is SO MUCH FUN! Even if you don't use Five in a Row, you must buy this book to read to your children, grandchildren, or even to yourself. We loved it!

We started out our week with learning some cake cookie decorating techniques at co-op. We also made mini-marshmallow catapults! (I hope to get those instructions up at HSS soon.)

On Tuesday night I made a castle cake (for a surprise for Elijah).

When he woke up and found it, he hollared up the stairway-- "Mom! A lovely, light, lucsious, delectable cake!"
