I am so pleased at how well school is going this year. I know that there will come days of battle but they have yet to happen and I praising the Lord for His mercy! Here's what we did today.

Social Studies (I) Usborne Book of World History The First Great Civilization Here we learned that we can tell what people looked like by drawings and by statues. I asked my son if we had no cameras or video camera how could we show people what we looked liked. It took him awhile to answer (high techies that we are) But he finally said "we could draw pictures of ourselves and things we like and then people would know what we look like and what we do" Here is his family portrait. When I asked him what was near me he said "That is a book because you love to homeschool me" 
Math (I) Subtraction Review pg 140-142
Language Arts (I) more practice with words ending in ing, writng ing words in a full sentence. Activity sheet focusing on antonyms, synonms, and homonyms
