I've been tagged again! This time, by Ms. Famous Lady herself.......... (drum roll, please)......... callmekate! You may take a bow. Thank you.
She informed me that I had to come up with 7 weird things about myself. I sat my ordinary self down in my ordinary chair and scratched my ordinary head while I searched my ordinary brain. Hmmm... I had already blogged about me being the8-0-5 Special, but other than that, I couldn't seem to think of anything else that made me weird. I seemed to be too ordinary. How weird!!!
Thus, I went to my family for their helpful advice. "Can anyone think of something about me that's weird?"
Yes, I admit, this was a little daring of me. I sat there waiting... quietly... while I bit on my bottom lip. You see, I have this dreadful habit of always having to keep some part of my body moving at all times. This time, my lip fell victim to my nervous habit.
Now, I KNOW that my husband thinks it's weird that I like eating pork & beans together with my cottage cheese, but instead, he answered, "You take the Bible for what it says?" Isn't he a dear? He is always so careful not to say anything negative about me.
"Good answer!!! I guess that could be considered weird nowadays. Anything else?"
"Oh yeah," he added, seeing that he was on the right track, "also you're a Victorian woman living in a 60's society."
"Ah, yes! That IS a little unusual for this time period, isn't it?"
"Now, how about you boys? Can you think of anything about me that's weird?"
They didn't seem to be quite so guarded with their answers. In fact, they seemed a little too eager to point out my weirdness.
Our 7-year-old shouted out, "Your hair!"
Okay... I did ask.
Our oldest son piped up with "You drink V-8 juice! Yuck!"
And then, our 7-year-old added, with a grin, "I was just teasing you about your hair. Actually, it's weird that you were raised in a after-Civil-War house." I guess he was referring to the fact that the house that I grew up in was built in 1868.
I pondered all of these statements and wondered if I could still come up with more. After all, I needed 7 things. But then it hit me... I DO have enough! There are actually 7 weird things about me right in this story! Go add them up! :-)
And, for those who want to play this game, consider yourself tagged. But, if you want to, you can be weird by listing them in the ordinary way. ;-)

I can always count on you to find a different way to express yourself. I'm still trying to imagine a Victorian woman in the 60's - a mini skirt with button-up high top shoes? Thanks for doing the tag! I did visit last night but you weren't in. I'll call first next time! LOL! Have a great week :)
