"Wardssward - Connie gets a special award for bringing out my silly nature. The comments we have shared back and forth have been so much fun. I enjoy reading about the adventures of life with Connie, Norm and the boys. You never know what you'll find when you visit her site (and I mean that in a good way!)"
That's exactly how Kate from callmekate said it when she presented me with one of her "Thinking Blogger Awards". Wow! What an honor!! Thank you, Kate. I wish that I could reciprocate, but according to the rules, I need to pass this honor on to five other blogger friends who make me think.
This turned out to be more difficult that I thought since there are so many out there who write such excellent posts. Plus, many of my nominees have already been chosen by someone else. So, I'll put my favorites into my "thinking cap" and just pull out five. Here goes... (drum roll, please)
1. servingtheKingofkings - oh, yes, she definitely receives top honor! When she writes things like this regarding proper nutrition, "cake mix in the grain group and potato chips in the vegetable group", I stand up and take notice. In this particular post, a dietician gave a presentation at their local co-op and produced this pertinent information. Yessss! This is just what the doctor ordered! Veges, here we come! J
And, now on a more serious note, here are the other four...
2. Nancy at ByHisGraceinColorado - she has a lot of thought-provoking posts, but I will give one example of her latest. In "Spiritual Geometry; a lesson in relationships", Nancy gives us parents encouragement to teach our children in the Lord. Sometimes we focus mainly on academics in our homeschooling, but there is so much more to teach them. Check it out and get those cogs to rolling in the upward, more spiritual, direction!
3. Deborah at devdoordeborah - not only does she blog here at HSB, but you will find her at other places including the TOS Devotional e-Newsletter and in TOS magazine itself. I have been impressed with all of her writings. She is a very deep thinker and excels in journaling her thoughts. You can read a sample here: "When, Where & How God Speaks to Us".
4. Sheryl at takingthechallenge - of all the many interesting posts that she has written, here are my favorites: "For the Special Ones" and "What I Would Do Differently". She has helped me to focus on the important things in teaching our boys... learning to appreciate them for who they are and just relaxing and enjoying each and every moment.
5. Steph at roomofmyown - although she is always trying to lose me by changing her blogsite (you can run, but you can't hide - hee hee), I keep finding her because she has a wealth of important information that I just can't afford to lose. Talk about a walking encyclopedia! This might make me a little lazy, but I glean from all the time and energy that she puts into her research. Thanks, Steph, for passing your knowledge on to the rest of us homeschool moms!
Although my “thinking cap” is still full of blogger friends, that’s all of the awards that I have to present. Now, it’s your turn to pass the “Thinking Blogger Award” on to 5 of your friends.

I added this comment to the bottom of your comment to my post about struggling with adult conversation:
This is Kate, here - Gee, I didn't know I could edit someone's comment - this is exciting! Anyway, Ms. Connie, the French spelling for me is "moi" - "oi" is pronounced "wah" and I find it a fun and difficult thing to say. Well, you DID ask!
So, now we are both members of the
"postcommunicative club". Do we get to wear brightly colored hats? Can you imagine the meetings - a bunch of women sitting around and looking at each other, blushing a bit. Just what WOULD we talk about - IF we could talk! Years ago, I saw an ad in the paper for "Support Group for Agoraphobics". Like, do you think anyone would attend? I guess they could meet by phone. I'm laughing because I was the one with this issue when I was a young adult and as much as I wanted to go to the meeting, I just couldn't! You did it again - I'm in a silly mood now! Thanks!
