Homeschooling sure has its moments! Some days are good... other days aren't so good. And some days are just totally rotten. But, mixed in with all of these are a little fun and silliness... especially with boys! Here are a couple of examples where I couldn't help but grin, just a little:
Our youngest son (7 years old at the time) was doing his math when he got out the calculator (without me knowing it). Pretty soon, I heard him say, "I was right!"
Seeing that he had the calculator, I asked, "Oh, are you checking your work?"
"No," he answered. "I'm checking the calculator." And he proceeded to do some of his hard sums with it. J
And then, there was today...
Our 10-year-old was sitting at the table doing his very exciting (cough, cough) math when he worked up a very rude burp (aren't they all? Ha!)
While I gave him "the look" and told him to say "Excuse me", he seemed to be pretty pleased with his grand performance.
Grinning, he turned to his younger brother and asked, "Did you hear me?"
That's when our 8-year-old nonchalantly answered, "Yes... I was deeply moved." J
Now, who says homeschooling can't be fun?
