Okay, so we didn't exactly get rich off of selling things on ebay, but we did get the space in front of the office door cleaned out. J Also, the little extra income came in handy with two birthdays to celebrate last week.
This week, we have another exciting occasion to celebrate... Norman finished up with his schooling! Yippee!! He now has two additional degrees to add to his resume: Computer Network & Security and Associates of Arts Degree.
Some of you might remember how that Norman lost his job in the spring of 2006, due to the company relocating to Mexico. At the time, we didn't know what to do or where to go. It ended up being one of those faith-building experiences where God caused everything to just fall into place, from the selling of our house to Norman's opportunity to go back to school.
It has been an interesting one and a half years. Norman has done really well with his classes and even made it on the Dean's list! He has made some new friends and has seen first-hand what all goes on in the colleges nowadays. That, in itself, has been a real eye-opener!
Financially, we have seen God work in our lives over and over again. I have to say that we wouldn't have made it without Him providing and guiding us along the way. It has been awesome to see His hand in all of this! Besides the special programs that Norman was able to get through his former employer and the college, God provided him with opportunities to make extra money from jobs on the side. He painted, landscaped, cleaned, and worked on computers for others and at a care center on Fridays.
Now, it's time for Norman to go back out into the working world on a full-time basis. It's time to get the word out, check the classifieds, make phone calls, and send out resumes. It could also be a time to worry and fret about the quickly dwindling savings account, but the Lord has shown us in the past that He is truthworthy. He will provide. He has taken care of us in the past and He will take care of us in the future.
Psalms 37:3-5 – “Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
That's rather exciting, don't you think? J

Of course, I'll pray for Norm! Praise the Lord for all He has done in Norm's life and in the life of your family, as well. He does provide for us, we need to have faith. It's always an encouragement to read how God has worked in the lives of others. And God will lead Norm to a job, I'm certain. Let us know how it goes.
He could always find work as a sign painter ...
Quack, quack, quack! (Ducks in a row - get it?)
