As my cousin (who works in a newspaper office) suggested and just for the funny of it, I submitted the picture from my previous blog to our local newspaper. I also included a "Letter to the Editor" in my email.
It was only a couple of hours later that a woman from the Courier called and asked about it, verifying that it was truly my son who set up the kitty picket line and getting permission from me to put it in the newspaper. She was laughing and said that everyone in the office really got a kick out of it.
So, when we saw that the piece did indeed make it into the paper this morning, we rushed down to the newspaper office to pick up some extra copies. Here are the two main instigators in front of their building:

We were a little disappointed that the picture was so small... and in black & white... but, hey, you've got to start somewhere! Maybe next time, our kitties will make it to the front page... and in color!!! J
