Tapestries of His Grace

Oct. 3, 2007 - A little catching up...

Hello friends!!  I apologize for taking so long to update my little corner of blogdom.  Lately, life has just seemed so big and I feel like such a small, insignificant part of it.  All is well--please don't worry.  It's just that there is so much to do and so little time to do it in.  I'm still shell shocked from turning another page on the calendar.  How can it be October already???

In late August Steve and I took a trip to the west coast for our 26th anniversary.  This was our first trip on our own in 3 1/2 years (since Eli's birth) so it was kind of weird--but very nice!!  We flew into San Francisco and drove all the way up into Oregon.  Most of the trip was very relaxing and fun.  We took the Hydro-Jet Mail Boat trip up the Rogue River--the highlight of our trip!  Awesome!!

Aside from the beautiful drive down Hwy 1, we also visited Trees of Mystery and rode the Skunk Train in Ft. Bragg.  The weather was beautiful and we had a great time together.

This is one of my favorite pictures on the trip...     Steve loves to go out on a limb (or in this case a rock!) so that I can get unique pictures of his bravado--and in this case he got swamped!!  I laughed and laughed and laughed!!  (Yes, I am mean!!)

One of the only pictures a kindly stranger took of us together.

Hannah is doing very well!!  She is already 30 weeks along now.  The stitch comes out when she is 35 weeks and they figure that she will probably go into labor shortly thereafter.  To say that they are excited to have made it this far would be an understatement!!  We are praying for the baby to grow and develop and be a strong little guy.

I'm hoping to have time soon to write a bit more.  Thanks for your patience!!

Just wanted to let you know that we had an ultrasound last week after measuring much too big for gestation a couple of weeks ago...twin boys!

Looks like you had a wonderful and well deserved trip.

So glad to hear that Hannah is doing so well!

Hello! I enjoyed reading your blog. I am a mama of 12 blessings!

When I saw the photo of the sitca spruce, I knew exactly where you were, as we are from Oregon and lived in Cannon Beach for a year and drove by that tree every weekend to go "home". Did you know it blew down about a month ago in a huge wind storm?

Anyway, come on over for a visit!

Quiverfull Blogroll

You Are a Blue Flower
A blue flower tends to represent peace, openness, and balance.
At times, you are very delicate like a cornflower.
And at other times, you are wise like an iris.
And more than you wish, you're a little cold, like a blue hydrangea.
