Oct. 20, 2009 - Prayer Requests

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
~ Philippians 4:6 ~

"Listen to my cry for help,
       my King and my God,
       for to you I pray.

  In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;
       in the morning I lay my requests before you
       and wait in expectation."

"Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy."

     In case you were wondering why I put Ephesians 6:18 in three different translations, was because I was always a little confused as to why we would pray for 'saints'.  I didn't understand that 'saints' just meant 'believers in Christ'... I thought it meant 'angels' or something like that.... just to clear that up. :)

     All of the verses listed above have one thing in common -- prayer requests.  God tells us to present our requests to Him, and He will hear us, and answer us because we are His children.  These are thre three answers to our prayers...

1. Yes
2. No
3. Wait

     Depending on your question, you get a different answer.
