My day
Here's my day: My mom is here with me for a week and I enjoy her company and she helps me alot with the kids. Both of my boys have a cold over the last months, getting better and worse. I tried alternative medicine and now I'm back to antibiotica.
Sunday is Bryan's 4th Birthday. I have no idea what we will do. The weather is cold, the bankaccount empty and Bryan is taking antibiotics because of his cough. So lets see what happens...
I want to share more pictures of our family with you.
This is my Dad with Bryan when he was around a year old.

And here they are again, last year on Christmas. This is the cottage my Dad built on the Ranch. He already felt week and now we know that the tumors already where growing. He finished it in December last year. In February he had is first surgery.

I love to look at the pictures with him. I miss him so much! Bryan's Birthday wish was that Jesus may heal his "Opa" in heaven and send him back to celebrate his Birthday with him. It breaks my heart!!

I've found new motivation and inspiration... Thank you Lord!
I want to transform our Guestroom to a work and study room. (One day I will start to homeschool, right?)
I want to make shelves like in Mr. Maker's programm in Discovery Kids (do you know it?) I'm looking for ideas or webpages with ideas to make the perfekt homeschool work room. Maybe some of you already have one and can give me ideas or know where to find them online?
Thank you!!

Memories of my Dad
Jul. 5, 2009
Goodbye Dad!
My Dad passed away on thursday. We where all together with him till his last breath. He did not suffer and he was just 5 days in the Hospital. Yesterday was the funeral. It was full of love, around 600 people where there and there was no eye that stayed dry while we where remembering him as a man of God´s heart. Our hearts are bleeding, but we are thankful that he can be with Jesus now with a new and healthy body and in complete love and happiness. My son Bryan is doing well, he waved his Grandpa byebye in the Hospital few days before, when Dad still could talk. Two days later he already was in coma. I told Bryan about heaven and that Jesus has Houses there for the people that get so sick that they can´t live here anymore, so they are in heaven where no pain is, just joy. The day Dad died I told him now Grandpa is with Jesus and he is very happy because he is not sick anymore. Bryan asked, is he gone? Yes, I said, he is gone, but we will be okay. Okay, he said and later we heard how he explained the same story to his little friends. I am very thankful for that. I will upload the slideshow I made for Dad´s funeral later.

Last Father's Day with my Father
My father is 51 years old and has advanced cancer. Since yesterday he can't get up alone anymore and he is so weak that his voice hardly comes out. We live 5 hours from my parents House and I can't be with them tomorrow. I was there last weekend and I made with my son Bryan a gift for him. Bryan drawed all faces on little papercircles and I made a mobile (is that the correct word?) and hang it on the window so my Dad can see it from his bed. It has the faces of all of us.
My Dad is Bryan's best friend and they where unseparable till now. Since he is sick, Bryan ignores him practically all the time we are there. Sometimes, when my Dad feeled a little better and could talk, Bryan would come closer and sit on his lap like he used to. I have no idea how to prepare him to the idea that his Grandpa will die. (Not even I am prepared...)
Here is a collage I made with my Dad and Bryan.

Collage I made
Jun. 11, 2009
Here we are...

We are a german-talking family living in Paraguay, South America. We lived a while in Canada, that's why we talk a little english too (but not very well, sorry).
I have studied what they call here "Psicopedagogia", its like childpsychology but specifically attending learning disabillities and working in schools, etc. I worked in a school for 4 years and what I've learned in these years is that I want to homeschool my kids... Not because it was a bad school. It is a great christian school and with a vision for teaching and learning with creativity and personal attention. But... who the heck thought that humans might teach 30 kids in one room the same subject in 45 minutes sitting in rows and listening??? I realized that we are blocking intelligence, creativity and motivation with trying to do this...
Well, my kid got 3 years old and here they start "pre-kindergarden" with 3. He is a happy and very active child who looooves to play, sing, draw and look at books. He loves cars and trucks and animals, (dogs!!). But when Joel was born, I stayed at home and he got very bored and lonely. So we thought we should let him got to "Pre-Kindergarden" to play with other kids, have fun and learn more Spanish. He loooooves school and after the adaptation time he never asked me to not to go. He enjoys it so much. But I don't stop thinking of HOmeschooling, because I know, when the day comes that he has to sit still in a chair behind a desk for 4 hours a day and listen to a teacher talking... that's when problems will start!
Here in Paraguay I know about one family that homeschooled by own choice. After that I know that Missionary families homeschool their kids. I have no idea how to start and what support I would have from our Gouverment (they don't care actually, but they are against everything that wasn't their idea...). And the people I talked too about Homeschooling just said "Hmm..."
So I'm very excited to find this spot here to share more with HOmeschooling Mom's and Families. Please wright something!!
Thank you!
