Such a rainy,cold, cozy day!! In devotions this am I learned more about the root cause of some of my problems. Conflict and Strife!! whether it be a conflict in schedule with something else..or..strife with Mark over something. Do we blame others or Satan sometimes??? We have the Power to say NO or YES to conflict an strife!! Apostle James wrote, "For wherever there is jealousy and contention, there will be confusion and all sorts of evil and vile practices" James 3:16. ALSO "Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which on one will see the Lord. Excercise forsight and be on the watch to look,to see that no one falls back from and fails to secure God's grace" Hebrews 12:14-15 Left unconfronted strife destroys and devastates, It casues torment and trouble to church members and to church leadership, hindering God's work and contaminating many. What is going on inside of you? Is the atmosphere inside peaceful or tense? Strife can and does, affect our attitude first. Anger can rob you of peace and joy!! If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the Truth shall make you free" John 8:31-32 Think of conflict and strife as an infection or a highly contagious disease, many people become contaminated and defiled by it. Do you want your home and church to be places where peace and harmony reign? I DO!! "better is a dry morsel with quietness than a house full of feasting with strife" Proberbs 17:1. I believe strife is a ROOT CAUSE!! Lord, Help me recognize strife and learn to resist it. Help me to see it long before it wreaks havoc in my home and life. Give me the grace so that I can refrain from fueling the spirit of strife in the lives of others. AMEN!! Have a wonderful and blessed day!! |
