Roses and Tea

May. 9, 2007 - The Adventures of Two Courageous Women

Would you like some tomato plants? MiryClay asked? "Sure"  I said, then she said: "Maybe we can meet some place in between us, or you can come here or I go visit you."  This is how the conversation started. Of course you know, we were just looking for an excuse to meet each other. For we have been chatting now on Blog world for about a month or so. At the last moment, I remembered we had co-op bowling day. I asked her: "Would you like to bring your kids for bowling and bring my tomatoes?  They give hs a great discount!"  She said: “Sure, the kids will like to bowl, and not do school today”  Of course this whole time I am thinking, “What am I getting my self into?” What if?????

So, she arrived at the bowling aisle with a beautiful, lovely, hanging flower planter. She said: “Happy Birthday” She noticed my birthday date on my profile. Now, talk about being sweet and thoughtful! Thank you Abba for my new friend!

Somehow the hanging flower did not make into the picture. I will need to take a picture of it and insert it here, when I get my new camera, here soon.

About bowling, well, guess who won the game? I was told “I'm not very good at all!” Can you guess by now who had the highest score?

We had such a good time! We truly enjoyed each others company. We talked about a lot of things; in fact, we talked so much we didn't let our children talk  We were the last ones to be done with our game. Everyone else was leaving and we were still bowling, you can surely guess by now what we were doing besides bowling. In fact, our children did not have much of a chance to talk, because of their mothers ……non-stop talk.

Let me tell you, my new friend has a lovely family, her children were so polite and sweet.

So, after, I've seen that it was the same person from the Blog pictures, I said: “Would you like to go over my house, when we are done bowling, and see where I live?” They came to my house, and had a lovely conversation afterwards. When it was almost time for them to leave and me going to pick up DH at work, I looked at her and said: “I just remembered, don't have anything for dinner, I forgot all about it.” Then she said: “ I  don't either!" Now, you see what happens when two courageous women get together.

I just love my Indiana friends! They are so kind, giving, and sweet.  I read an article once, about the loving ways in which the mid-west still is; that kind sweet naive spirit of brotherly love. So many places this is totally lost. One would say, yeah, sure meeting people in the Internet is not safe, I totally agree! God works in mysterious ways!

I've met another friend in the Internet her name is Kristee. Talk about how God works in mysterious ways; she too is from Indiana. I will tell you, in both instances I have been blessed beyond what I could ever ask.

Now, go take a look at MiryClay’s blog, and read her post about her new,  friend from Greenfield, Indiana.

Our two lovely daughters.

This picture was at my house. Please excuse my window treatment.  I am still working on it. If, you have not seen me lately, it's because I have been, gardening, making Strawberry Jam and sewing curtains.

Don't you think this is a nice picture of the these two courageous women?

Well, here's another comment for ya! I got to thinking......Yes, it's painful for me to think, but I tend to do it from time to time! :) If you don't water those tomatoe plants that I brought you, they'd die and I'd have to bring you more, right? LOL. I've got a porch full. ;o) Also, if our kids didn't talk, that's their own fault, not ours. My kids are use to talking over my big blabber mouth. LOL.

How fun! I wanna visit too! I guess that would be quite a drive though. Thanks for sharing your story and the pics!

Blessings!
Sharity, who is a little jealous and sad that she lives so far away from her blogger friends.
