Roses and Tea

May. 15, 2007 - BFS #26

This assignment is so close to heart. We are supposed to talk about miracles in our lives. I see miracles happening every day in my life. There are some that are major events and they do deserve to be told over and over again. I believe our children need to hear of His miracles daily, it's a faith builder!
I’ve tried to write this assignment several times  in the last couple of days, but this one event is the one that keeps coming back at me. I’ve even lost the other two entries I've started. So, here we go…Quê será, será!

My life is miracle itself. I would not be here if wasn’t for the will of God. I was the last child, my mother was 40 years……her marriage of 20 some years was very shaky and coming to an end…..poverty and hunger was a familiar word in my home…..my mother thought she could end the unwanted pregnancy, but abortion was not an option since it was not legal.  Her only solution was to go to the pharmacy and buy drugs; the kind not recommended for pregnant women to take (keep in mind it was only a few years ago, that the law changed concerning buying with a  doctor’s prescription)….. I was told by her that  she took all kinds of different medications and a lot of it. . But, nothing worked...... I was healthy and sweet.
I was told this when I was 25 years old. She made a comment like this:” The one child I did not want is the one, which brought me the most pride and joy in life”

Every year at my birthday,  I thank my wonderful Creator for one more year of life. I thank Him for my special, sweet mother also. When hard times come my way, I often think He saved me for a reason. Maybe I will never know my mission here on this earth! I do know one thing, I just have to be faithful to him, no matter what.

LIFE IS A MIRACLE!

I am soooo greatful that the Lord didn't allow anything to happen to you while in your mother's womb. Now, you know that my first thoughts were to say......'Aha, that's what's wrong with you!' Hee Hee. J/K. He spared your life so that you could be His daughter, your mother's blessing, your husband's helpmeet, a mother to Anna, and a very dear friend and blessing to all of us. I love you girlfriend!

Blessings,
Lori

You are a miracle! I was born via emergency c-section, the cord was wrapped around my neck and I was in distress. Praising God he spared our lives!

Blessings!

Isn't it wonderful to know that He is Lord? He knew you then, and watched over you.
Thanks for sharing.

That was powerful. Thank you so much for sharing. What a wonderful blessing. How many mothers that abort the precious children are missing out just like your mother almost did!

About Me

This Blog is about my life and the different adventures that I experience being a wife, homeschooling mother, homemaker, friend, and daughter of the king of the Universe. I am a follower of Yeshua (Jesus' name in Hebrew) He was born a Jew and lived as a Jew on this earth. It's because of him, and his incredible love towards me, that my ashes were turned into beauty. I'm a native of Brazil. I have been married to my DH, for 22 years. We met while he was there on a Mission's trip. We have one wonderful 13 years DD.
