Jun. 7, 2007 - What's Up......
I thought I would update you all on what's up with me, before you all thought I got lost some where out there.......
_ I am still putting some time outside on my yard. Being a new house and very poor soil, no trees.....always something to do out there. We are planning on staying here awhile; we need to make the outside of our home a nice, cozy place to look at it and enjoy.
_ DD and I had a whole day of shopping on Tuesday, that took all of my energy......getting old, I guess
_ Yesterday, DD and I, did some deep cleaning. So, last evening I was just passed out about 9 PM
_ Searching for next year's curriculum. I need some science suggestion, we are not science oriented, for years we have been just content with reading Abeka. We would like a change from that.. Oh, yes, I checked into Apologia, that one is out of the question, not my style of teaching. Any suggestion????????
_ Last Thursday, I sent my pile of papers, forms and copies of my whole life to immigration services. They received the package and all ready cashed my check. So, I am really hoping they will get to my papers very soon and call me for an interview. Pray with me, it does mean because the cashed my check that they will get to my paper work soon.
Well, this is what's going on with me. Blessings and prayers.

I pray that things continue to go well with the immigration office and such. It's good to hear things are going good with you. I was wondering. :)

Hello Dear Friend. I join you in prayer about your paperwork and upcoming interview. Also, I know having a new house takes a lot of work to make the outside cozy. Will you be posting some pictures of what you are doing? Also, maybe you might consider doing the tag, but in Portuguese? That would be interesting. Keep cool. We are melting! Thank You Lord for the trees!

Jun. 8, 2007 - I Am Praying for You Guys |

This will be our first year, so I do not have that much experience. When I decided to home school, I studied a lot of different curriculums. I fell in love with a Unit Study called the "Weaver" by Alpha Omega. The "Weaver" unlike other curriculums does not weave the Bible into its studies, but actually uses the Bible as its main textbook and weaves all subjects in through the Bible. It is so Awesome. If you would like, I can scan some samples for you and email them to you.
Let me know.
God Bless,

Hee Hee! After your walk yesterday, I could have told everyone that you were "Gone With The Wind". LOL. I will continue to pray for all of the immigration process to move quickly. Have a great day my friend!

I will continue to pray that the immigration process goes smoothly and quickly for you. Them cashing your check makes it seem very hopeful.
We are not big on science here. My dh & I LOVE weather science, and I like rocks & shells & nature, but that is about it. Perhaps just finding some books your daughter finds interesting - I have the Master's Book series here for their High School learning, plus going to science museums & nature centers will be enough for us. Also, do you have the book or video of "Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation"? I also got my order of "The Family Butterfly Book" yesterday, and Bookworm suddenly became very excited in butterflies, she wants to make a caterpillar cage & I think I'll have her read the book through. It's delight-directed and educational. Also, we really liked the Apologia "Elementary" book - it really wasn't elementary as I think I learned more than anyone and we did a lapbook with it - doing something after each chapter. We also made a scale-model of the solar system that was a big hit at our co-op's Arts & Academic Fair. Or how about a nature journal or botany with helping with the gardening? Just some ideas. Have a super day, my sister. |

About Me
This Blog is about my life and the different adventures that I experience being a wife, homeschooling mother, homemaker, friend, and daughter of the king of the Universe. I am a follower of Yeshua (Jesus' name in Hebrew) He was born a Jew and lived as a Jew on this earth. It's because of him, and his incredible love towards me, that my ashes were turned into beauty.
I'm a native of Brazil. I have been married to my DH, for 22 years. We met while he was there on a Mission's trip. We have one wonderful 13 years DD.
