Aug. 12, 2007 - Being Thankful!

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
      For His mercy endures  forever. 

1 Chronicles 16:34

 

I am very thankful for the hot weather we had this last week. (I teased Lori on this, but I am very grateful for we need hot weather in order for vegetables to grow well)

 


 I’m very thankful for central air.

 

I am very thankful for the money I made on the sale of some our older curriculum on e-bay, for I was able to buy some of the books we still needed in order to start school..

 

I am very thankful for our new school supplies and books.

 

I am very thankful we were able to start school this past Monday.

 

I am very thankful for the brothers and sisters we have at our congregation.

 

I am very thankful for my sweet wonderful friends of long ago, Joyce and Ivy. Through all of my moves, we are still friends.

 

I am very thankful for my DH’s friends from college. After all of these years, they still get together and have fun together in the Lord.

 

I am so thankful the Lord blessed me with a beautiful flower garden, to walk by and contemplate His marvelous creation.

Your flowers are beautiful. I wish I was better at gardening.

I got a little arrangement yesterday from our Kindergarten and first grade Sunday school class. It was very sweet - this kids arranged it themselves and signed a card and everything!

I am easing my boys into school this week. I don't have my books yet . Well, I have some but I need to order the last bit. I hope this year isn't too rocky. My oldest is giving me a tough go. He has always been my spirited one. It is like taming a wild buck. BUT I keep telling myself God is going to use him for something GREAT. [0;
