"Pumpkin Party"

Be creative, share whatever you would like, recipes, children's books, tips etc.

The first thing I would like to share is a tip. No, this is not my picture, but I have done something similar to this in the past. I didn't have a digital camera.  Please note I just used this picture from a search as an example of what can be done with extra pumpkins. Here is the link where I got the picture from.

I have been baking this delicious recipe for my family now for a couple of years . It's always a big hit. I  haven’t made one yet this year. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, can't wait :)

Fluffy Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie

INGREDIENTS:

12 ounces cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice (I use my cinnamon and cloves only)

2 eggs

1 cup canned pumpkin

1 Ready Crust Graham Pie Crust

DIRECTIONS:

In large mixing bowl beat cream cheese on medium speed of electric mixer until fluffy. Add sugar and spice. Beat until combined.

Add eggs, one at a time, mixing until just combined after each addition. Stir in pumpkin.

Pour into crust. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool for 1 hour on wire rack. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.

Share a Bible Verse....This has had a profound meaning for me this week. I want to be found faithful in the eyes of the Lord in my generation, like Noah.

Genesis 6

8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. 9 ...Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.

22 Thus Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did.

That is a beautiful idea for a centerpiece! I might have to do that for Thanksgiving...although I don't think anyone will be here, except us! (but what's more special than us? :])
Blessings and thanks for sharing the recipe too!

Pumpkin is so great! Your recipe is inspiring!!! Please say a tiny prayer for my mom and I today, as I try to help her (without over-stepping bounderies as a child...)
Blessings to you and your family,

Oh, I love the pumpkin centerpiece idea - I will have to try that! The recipe looks yummy too - too bad that cream cheese makes my asthma react - I can only have it in very small amounts. I really like the Bible verses you shared too! Thank you.

...for looking at the photo of my friend's baby boy! He certainly is a blessing as she has been waiting 7 years to add to her family (she already has a 7-year-old son). Baby J is also special as his twin did not survive the pregnancy - so he is definitely a special gift from God!

I love the picture of the centerpiece--I'll have to give that a try. (But I'm not very artistic! It probably won't end up looking quite that nice!)
