Dec. 27, 2007 - The Miracle!
I wasn't able to finish my previous post today, and since I had this one already I decided to go ahead and do Show and Tell instead, I am hoping to be done with part 2 very soon.
One afternoon, almost at sunset I heard mom calling from the back of the house, and by the tone of her voice it just didn't seem things were quite right. I immediately jumped and thought she must have fallen or something???? As I started to make my way to the back of the house I hear her saying: "It's a miracle! It's a miracle! Only God! Only God can make it!" As I approached her, I saw why she was so hysterical. I was relieved to see such beauty.
She then proceeded to tell me about this cactus plant, how it wasn't doing too well where she had it and eventually something happened which broke off most of the plant.
Now you need to know my mom - she is very frugal, and does not throw anything away. She is also persistent. So, when the cactus plant broke off, she just transferred what was left of it, (as one can see by the pictures not much of a plant) to a smaller pot, and placed it on the other side of the house. Her thinking was that maybe it would grow again..... Day after day she watered her garden, and kept an eye on it. Just a couple of days before she took a pick at it and not much was happening......then it bloomed into this rare beauty - We named it "The Miracle". Only our wonderful Creator could create something so stunning and cause it to bloom out of such adversity.
If you know anything about Cactus’ and know about this particular one, can you please let me know?
As we can see below not much green plant at all.

| It's gorgeous! Isn't it sad that so many often overlook the beautiful gifts and smiles God sends our way through little things such as this? |
