Fun Apron Giveaway!

Farmgirls are having one of the best giveaways ever over at their blog! It is the Edwardian Apron from Sense and Sensibility patterns!!!   So to enter, you have to post a picture of your favorite apron... I tend to like the 1930's/40's/50's type... I found this picture on flickr, and it pretty well captures it... I also like "Mennonite/Amish/pioneer - type" aprons.. such as these... And now, I also have to post my favorite breakfast recipe. Here are the bestest ever waffles!!!! We make a lot of batter ahead of time, refrigerate, and  then when we want waffles, we just heat up the waffle iron. It's pretty simple! 2 eggs 2 c. all-purpose or whole wheat flour 1 3/4 c. buttermilk 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1 tbsp. brown sugar 4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1. Spray waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray, if necessary. Heat waffle iron. 2. Beat eggs in large bowl with hand beater until fluffy. Beat in remaining ingredients just until smooth. 3. Pour about 1/2 c. batter onto center of waffle iron. 4. Bake about 5 minutes, or until steaming stops. Enjoy!
