I hopped on over from Susan Kaye's blog. Though Persuasion is my favorite J.A. novel, Mr. Knightly is by far my favorite male character from her novels.
I have enjoyed your novel so far (and wasted far too much time today, just sitting and reading it rather than lesson planning!). Thanks for sharing it.

I was just re-reading this chapter and wanted to say (again) how much I love this story! All the background you weave in, especially (strawberry beds, etc.). The soul-searching and jealousy have begun, and although I'm anxious to see your Knightley become aware of his love for Emma, I also flinch for him, knowing how much more he has to endure.
