Great first part. I love the little subplots that parallel the main one. It adds depth, while allowing the reader to understand Knightley's feelings and thoughts. Can't wait for the volume to be finished!
I must commend you for even attempting the writing of a novel, being a homeschool mom as you are. I know how busy a mom can be, and I also know how hard it is to write a novel as I am in the middle of my first. Keep up the good work!
