Feb. 6, 2007 - Grape Gelatin Jigglers (Dye Free)
I'm working to rid my kitchen of foods prepared with artificial coloring/dyes. (i.e. yellow #5 or #6, blue #5 and red #40, etc..) I recently blogged about it here. Below is a recipe that's fun for the kids (like JELLO) but with no dye!
GRAPE JIGGLERS
1 (12 oz.) can frozen grape juice concentrate, thawed
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin (like Knox)
1 1/2 cups (1 can) water
Soften gelatin in grape juice. Boil the water and add the juice/gelatin mixture. Stir until the gelatin dissolves. Remove from heat and pour into a lightly greased 9 x 13 pan. Chill. Cut into squares when firm. Refrigerate leftovers.
