Mar. 24, 2007 - Photo Hunters "EMPTY"
Wow! This week flew by! Time for another Saturday Photo Hunt.
Today's theme is "EMPTY"

Ever notice how much fun a kid can have with just an EMPTY box?

This last photo shows the 3 boys decorating there "new home" which
was the huge, empty box our new fridge came in! Can you
believe the delivery guys were going to take the box away...think of
all the fun we would have missed out on!

All I know is that once we went to the snow and I took empty TV boxes to be used as sleds. And you know what? They worked perfectly.

When my daughter was little her Christian school always had a Fall Festival. One of the booths was always a maze built with discarded refrigerator boxes and ended up being a favorite. Of course our cats love boxes too.

That is so typical. Why do parents spend so much money on toys. Our girls used the "play" the pots and pans and even stack cans of fruit and veggies. Great pictures!
Thanks for coming by and have a wonderful weekend.

Very cute photos! :) I know there have been many times that lots of money was spent on toys around our house and the boxes were way more fun than the toys! *LOL* Great take on the theme! Thanks for sharing.

Adorable children! Empty boxes are the best "tents." I may have to find Scamp one. I would have to fill it up first so that she could empty it and then get in! Thanks for stopping by.

Empty boxes were always even more fun than the gifts themselves! That fridge box is awesome! Now all they need is a pillow/blanket fort and they have their own city :)

Hi! Thanks for the comment on my blog.
My kids love cardboard boxes too. One way they use them is to open them up and use them to slide down the stairs - like a sled. Hey, we live in Arizona and since there's not much snow you have to learn to make do. :)
I really liked your water pictures too. We're going to New York in June to see the Statue of Liberty. I'll have to look up that park and see if it's near to where we will be.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I enjoyed your fun photos. Your kids have great imagination. I'm sure my son would have a blast too with that large empty box.
Take care!

Your five photos are just a reminder of how the most inexpensive things can become so much fun, in this case cardboard boxes. Growing up in Mexico I just to make my own toys to stay entertained.
