~Counting My Blessings~

Feb. 26, 2008-Birthday Time

We get a break from the "winter doldrums" by celebrating two birthdays at our house....

1st, in February,  the "baby" turns THREE!   He's all about "Go Diego Go" right now. :D  I'm all about savoring each day because they are going by too fast!

And the next birthday is our eldest child and only daughter...

Now 15!  Don't let having teenagers scare you -- we are enjoying ours!  Teens actually come with many perks -- for example, they keep you updated on the latest trends,  they will clean the house for extra priveleges and they provide 'free babysitting' for your younger ones!   She also keeps me on my toes -- seems like nothing I say or do gets by her... so built in accountablility!  And teaching my teen High School (at home) has really challenged me but in a good way ( today was our first attempt at dissections...).

Happy birthday to your children! I agree with you on teens - our son will be 15 in May. He has been a blessing & a very responsible young adult. We will be dissecting in a month or so..it should be interesting...everyone will want their hands in it with 5 boys around. :-)

When we began homeshooling our boys were 15, 7 and 4 - then by the end of the year - our 17 year old daughter came home. Now they are grown and I am so glad we spent 13 years homeschooling - we have 13 grandchildren, 12 of them boys - ten under 7 - 2 teenagers - some homeschooling. Stop by my blog - I am new at blogging, but pretty experienced at the parenting/grandparenting part! :)
