Feb. 14, 2007 - Valentines Verses

Not your typical "Love" verses but what is speaking to my heart today....

       We love Him, because He first loved us.  If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother,  he is a liar; for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?  And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also."      

  1 John 4:19 - 21

Dec. 30, 2006 - I'm adopted

 ".... just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,"     Ephesians 1:4-5

This is one of those "life changing" verses for me.   It speaks volumes about God's love.   Those words "Before the foundation" -- that's before Genesis 1:1.   He has known me and chosen me before time to be his child.  I was in his thoughts before the world was created.  And he knew me, my complete and utter depravity, my total helplessness, yet he created me and then he died for me.   This was not planned after Adam's fall,  this was planned "before the beginning".   

 It gives me chills.  and a lump in my throat.  

 He is AWESOME.    how humbling.

Thank You Lord, for choosing me.  Thank you for saving my soul.
