1 week left

As usual I did fairly well writing for a little while, but then life happened and I haven't been on the computer in almost a month.
I now only have one week left to teach at co-op.  It's on Halloween and I'm supposed to lead the devotion time at the beginning also.  I'm trying to decide what I want to do.  For the class I have a book titled Halloween Is It For Real? by Harold Myra.  I like what the author has to say in his note to parents, "The challenge for Christian parents is to teach our children to use this holiday to celebrate God's victory over evil and evil spirits."  While we try not to make too much out of Halloween, it's everywhere our children look and they have alot of questions.  As for the devotion at the beginning I'm still doing some reading.
Well, my son is falling apart because his sister got mud on him so I must say so long for now.

Oct. 26, 2006 - Halloween-the Christian Perspective

The other teacher in the Sunday School class I co-lead brought in a book called The Pumpkin Gospel (I think)-compares us to a pumpkin that's all gooey and gunky inside until we get cleaned out and have a light inside...kinda an interesting twist. It's a litle over the heads of the 2-year-olds, but it would probably be good for kids that are a bit older...

Thanks for the imput. I'll have to check it out and see about possibly adding it to the book collection.
