It's November!
Wow! I'm blogging in a new month. I've recently become an addict of facebook, so I was afraid that my blogging days would be over. My husband is probably regretting that we finally got DSL, because I use the computer now. Before I couldn't dreaded having to use the computer for anything because it took so long. Now I get upset with myself because I use it more than I should. I have found some fun educational site for the children though. Our 7 year old, who is learning about China at co-op, was reading Chinese fables today at Learn to Read at Starfall. And our 5 year old was playing a matching game where she had to match a word card with a picture card, at the same site. She was sounding out the words and finding the picture that went along with it. They both had fun and I was able to work with them individually without continual interruptions. I've always been a little fearful of the children and computers. I've personally never done much with them before and I guess I was afraid of something that I don't know too much about, but today we had a good experience. I would like to try and find some more sites that I could use in the same way I did today.
Well, the baby is sleeping, the older children are outside playing, and we're going to be raking leaves all day tomorrow so I'd better get to cleaning.
