Where do we go from here?

Life is never dull at our house.  How could it be with four little ones to keep things lively.  But very recently God threw a curve ball at us (or at least at me not sure how long husby's known something was up).  The past couple of weeks we've been talking about what kind of plants we want in our garden this summer and about some of the odd jobs that need to be done around the house.  We were sure we were going to be here for quite a few more years.  But this week God has shown us that He may have other plans for us. Husby has put a few "feelers" out for other jobs this week after a little uneasiness.  So far he's had a couple of responses and at least one phone interview and a second one scheduled.  We know from past experience that God works quickly when he moves us so I'm a little nervous about the outcome of these interviews.  Now, if God were also the one packing the boxes I wouldn't be so nervous, but as it is we're usually the ones that are left with that job.  Oh well! I'll go where you send me Lord!
We have some newlywed friends that are currently worrying about money issues.  All I could tell the wife is that God will take care of them.  And I'm telling myself that same thing right now with the thoughts of a move.  God did promise us chocolate and flowers everyday.  He knew that life would bring us hardships and trials.  But He promised us that He would never leave us, even when we feel we're in "the depths of despair" (quoting Anne Shirley).  The God that takes care of the flowers and birds, how much more does He love and take care of me?
Well, I hear movement from the little ones so I'd better sign off for now.  Until next time!

Jan. 26, 2008 - Curve Balls

Yes, please don't despair, for as Marilla Cuthbert answered Anne, "to despair is to turn one's back on God". You certainly wouldn't want to do that! God will be with you through any changes you might have to make. He has taken care of our family through the curve balls of life and I know He will take care of yours as well.

As for where He might lead you, Texas is a pretty nice place! :-) And I know one family that would welcome yours with open arms.

I will begin praying for your family tonight. May the Lord Bless you and keep you.

Thanks for the prayers. He had the interviews this week. Hopefully we'll know something before too long. If nothing comes about from the interviews it was good in that we got to spend time alone together, which doesn't happen very often.
