As many of you might have noticed, I have a something new on my sidebar: a Bunnyhero pet named Black Beauty! Thank you, sgsikes97! He is very cute :D
Today is VERY cold...no snow, but we had to wait outside for an hour and a half so that we could get into this free clothing thing....I nearly froze my fingers off because I forgot gloves. Later today we'll be going to a Christmas Craft show thingie at GM Place, so I'll post about that later....
That's about it for now....this blog is starting to get boring....
Emma
Two of my favourite authors, JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis, were part of a group of published and aspiring writers called INKLINGS. They met at a local pub just before it got chaotic and full of people and read their current works to their fellow writers. It was in this group that JRR Tolkien was persuaded to writer a sequel to his masterpiece 'The Hobbit', which resulted in my favourite books of all time, Lord of the Rings, and CS Lewis was converted back to Christianity and started writing the Chronicles of Narnia. If I had lived back then and was the right age and lived there, I would have loved to be part of the Inklings. But since I'm thirteen, not a professor at Oxford and living now, here, in this time we called the 2000s, I'll be content with this blog. The Write Words are what every writer searches for. They're what I search for when I write a blog post, a essay on dolphins or just one of my horse stories. They're what I look for in a good book. They're what I watch for in movies and on TV. I might not be a hobbit or a faun, or even just a published writer yet. And maybe this description isn't exactly of what my blog is about. Maybe it's more about my aspirations. But I am me. Emma. Thirteen and a writer in her own life and way. But in my heart and in my head, I'll always be an Inkling.
Enjoy! :D
